i can't believe i'm back at this hellhole bc this is the only place people talk about the books i like sdhjfkhjkfghdfkjghdfkjg

some of my favorite moments in the rifter series were when kahlil was thinking he could never be ravishan; brave and a hero and the beautiful man john loved. but then he immediately goes up against a small army just to save one young girl that he doesn’t even know. and so many other moments that showed he would always be that kid. there is so much good inside of him. and he deserved all those beautiful and soft memories no matter how much he thinks he didn’t. i just, kahlil (the one who grew without john) had to do so many things that tore him apart but he stayed soft and kind and somehow remained that 17 year old baby john met beside a lake even though he didn’t have someone who loved him, a family, and comfort in his teenage years. he still somehow encompassed all that ravishan was with john without having him. can i just.. i’m gonna go cry now.
