HE  FEELS  STUPID.     they're  sitting  across  from  each  other  in  the  living  room,  his  arms  crossed  defensively  as  he  tries  to  make  sense  of  it  all  —  and  of  course  they  had  to  come  when  the  kid  went  down  to  sleep  and  he  was  finally  able  to  relax  by  himself.  instead,  he'd  only  just  barely  sat  down  to  watch  some  dumb  tv  when  the  apartment  door  had  a  knock  against  it,  leading  to  this  and  his  ..  confusion.  not  different  than  normal,  but  the  scenario  behind  it  all.  “so.”  he  waits  for  them  to  start,  but  continues  anyway.  “are  you  going  to  explain  why  you're  here,  or  should  we  play  20  questions?  because  i  have  a  lot.”  harsh,  maybe,  but  damn  —

hazel swallowed hard, looking around her ex's apartment, trying to avoid all eye contact with him. even though she had been in his apartment so many times before, she felt like she was a stranger to all of this. she felt like a stranger to him. "uh, yeah." she snapped back into reality once she heard his voice, her head turned quickly to face him. "i'm sorry, i can't sit still." the brunette breathed out, standing up. she started to pace around the living room. "i don't know why i'm here." she threw her hands up before leaning against the wall, crossing her arms over her chest. "i'm moving back home." her eyes traced over his face trying to get a read on him. "and as i was packing up, i came across an ultrasound photo and i felt a pull to her, to you. i know i have no right being here, but i owe you, both of you, an explanation."
