The only reason I pushed through and finished it is because I didn’t want a DNF on my first year seriously committing to my reading journal

This is terrifying… I was only able to read one chapter a day

George Orwell is such an amazing author

Classics like these are my favourite, they give situations that can happen in reality… and it’s so scary to think about things currently then read these novels

Amazing book!! It’s 97 pages, so read it if you can!! It’s so insightful

Again, I have read this years ago but this one is more fuzzy than Caraval… basically, I’m going in blind!! (I’m excited)

I LOVE Donatella Dragna. Although I relate to Scarlett more, Donatella is inspirational already! She is very confident in all the best ways. She is portrayed with the anxiousness that comes with being brave and being and acting more assured. Omg I think I love her???

Okay… so I thought my Legend guess was wrong because of the first book. I’m glad to see I’m right now!!

I barely remember the last book so I’m excited to get to that one!!

I read this years ago, tried rereading it in 2024 (and tabbed a bit) until I dropped it at Chapter 30

Going to reread this again now!!

I did read this years ago. I only remembered a few key moments but the little details and the ending were a complete mystery! It was so fun to come back to this book.

I LOVEEE how Scarlett attaches colours to emotions, I totally get it lol

My guess of who Legend is… wrong??

I read this 7 years ago… yet I don’t remember this book at all, I’m excited to read this!!

I am in love!!! I love Winter and Jacin! They remind me of me and my boyfriend!!

I don’t remember anything that happened, it’s like a whole new book/ part of the story after 7 years!

I’m going to be so sad when I’m done this 😭

I am in love… I just finished it and I am so touched and in awe. The ending just… makes me so happy and so sad that the series is over.

I used up 3 tab colours for this book 😭

I have never tabbed a book more, it’s soo good

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

I wanted to read this after watching ‘Wicked’. I know the book Wicked is from a completely different author just adding their own flair (basically a fan fic of the original story). So I wanted to read the original story!

The Woodsman Tinman is my favourite character. He says he has no heart yet he watches every step to make sure he doesn’t kill a bug. He says he’ll weep if the Lion will kill a deer for breakfast.

This is very different from Wicked in all the best ways!! I loved it so much and I really want a physical copy one day to read to my future children

I listened to this audiobook with one day left before I had to return it. And I did it!! I listened to the whole thing in one day!!

Not bad, not amazing. Just, a book lol.

In the beginning, Stevie was very competitive in her ED. Makes sense! She said how making a bigger binder made her better, staying with a red band showed that she’s unmovable, that if you get to a green band you were weaker. I get it. It was really tough to see that that’s how it is with being mentally ill. But I get it, I was there at one point (not with an ED, with my mental illness)

The Iliad

I bought the wrong version!! Luckily it was only $2 but I did buy the correct version now

Entire Book 2 (chapter 2) is explaining so many Greek men about which ships they went on… that’s all the chapter is about 💀

This took me a long time… but I did it!!

I read the Odyssey first (and like that one more than this one), but I had this image of Hector as a “bad guy”. A guy to be defeated. After reading this book it makes me quite sad that Hector died. He was a loving husband and father. His wife ran out of the house to find him and beg him not to fight. The way Hector saw his son is so cute and loving, it made me really sad. It was easier to think he were just a bad guy- if I never knew that his wife loved him, that he saw his son with such joy, that all of Troy felt safer because of him -it would have been easier to see him die… this book really shows that there’s so many sides of a story I have never seen before.

I did buy the physical book and wanted to read it before I knew the reviews… so I did, I did read it and finished it… but man this is not really for me? Sometimes I’m like “this is bad” and then I realize this is published (and probably written before) 1998 by a man. So I let it slide and keep reading

I love the lyrics integrated into the story

ehhhhh… it was okay? I didn’t like it but I also didn’t hate it. I was invested in the music videos this story had but I barely remembered them, I thought this would be a nice start. However, it was okay? I guess? I don’t think it was worth around $10 but I did buy it and I did finish the book.

The writing is not my style? If I read it when I was younger, yes it would has been fine, maybe I would have liked it more… but I’ve been reading more and bigger novels. Most with better writing or at least a more sophisticated writing style so going to something like this was not something I liked

Patroclus’ way of talking about Achilles is so soooo cute!!

No matter how many years pass they love each other?? No matter the change in them, no matter the problems they have had? UGH

I have felt the love, I had felt the devastation, I have felt the relief at the end. At first, I didn’t think this would be a 5 star book but as it went on I think their love is so strong and so captivating. No matter how they had changed, no matter how the views had shifted, they had always loved each other with every breath.

I read this book when I was 12-13 years old (a decade now!!)

I can see why I rated this a 5 star when I first read it, now, I would say 4.5 star. Mostly because it’s not as life changing as other books I have read but it is still a wonderful read!!

Having read all of this series in the past, I get all the hints of foreshadowing and it makes it even better!!
