I'm not logged into my rp blogs rn but what do you think Jin would think of Leaf and Cypress (@tvillingahl), especially with the knowledge of Asu dating Leaf after Fen left with Bear?

I personally don't know too much of them, but I feel like Jin would feel like.. How a kid feels when their divorced parent finds someone else. They're indifferent towards them, sometimes disliking them for no reason other than "You're not my other parent, stop trying to be."

I'm sure Jin would like them better overtime, they just need to come to terms that things aren't going to be the way they were before and realize that if Asu's happier, that makes them happy.

Asu nodded. He knew Jin didn’t like below deck, but he worried they relied on him too much. He hoped eventually they’d get closer to others on the ship. Maybe next time they run into Fen and Bear they’d need a ride and Jin could spend some time with them.

He motioned to the stairs up to his quarters before signing [See you in a few hours, ok?]

By the time the storm died down Asu was soaked through his coat and was shivering. Despite this, he decided to run below deck and unhook one of the hammocks before bringing it back up with him. He opened the door to his quarters quietly, just in case Jin had fallen asleep.

They were thankful that he didn't press further or try to have them go below deck anyway.. If it was any other time, they wouldn't mind as much. Though if a storm was going to happen, being down there would stress them out more. "Alright, I'll see you!" Jin gave Asu a quick hug before shuffling off towards the stairs. They'll be ok!

By the time the storm died down and Asu came up to check on Jin, they were asleep, as he thought. Though, they had fallen asleep on top of an open book, probably something they just grabbed as a distraction. They were asleep with the book on the floor, a blanket or something messily draped over them.

[No, you don’t need to-] He stopped momentarily. Well, the kid was interested in the work. It almost reminded him of himself, though he first helped out much younger than Jin was now. [If you want though, you can help the Parson move the smaller stuff.]

The Parson, Cypress, would do anything to get out of unloading, so putting him in charge of Jin would likely encourage him to slack off, but Asu figured Jin would pick up the slack.

Jin noticed him stop mid-signing, tilting their head to the side slightly. When Asu continued, they blinked slightly.. Jin didn't think they interacted with Cypress yet. They mainly interacted with Hassan and Asu since they're their family.

"Oh, ok! Um.. Who are they again?" They questioned, slightly embarrassed that they needed to ask. They felt a bit ashamed not knowing, if they were honest. Their eyebrows furrowed from the embarrassment, their fingers starting to pick at each other.
