he hesitates, although he really, REALLY, shouldn’t have. eventually, he nods his head, agreeing to what she wanted. “ i promise. ” he turns on his heel, putting his cigarette out on an ash tray and, walks all the way into the living room, where he will sit himself down on their couch. “ come here, princess. let’s TALK. ”
his hesitation causes waves of UNEASE to crash over her, but the brunette will simply offer a smile at his words & b r u s h off the feeling in hopes of the best. with light footfalls following his in direction, she’ll gently straddle his lap before bijou arms lace around the male’s neck & a small pout will form on plump brims. ‘ talk about what, DADDY ? ’

“ let’s go, then. ” without another word, he takes her hand in his, and begins to make his way through the crowded room. he was EXCITED to finally have something happen tonight ; he hoped she was as cool as she seemed, and he didn’t have to end up awkwardly dropping her off after an hour. when they make it out the house, though, he releases her hand and looks for wherever his car is parked. “ – wanna go anywhere specific ?? we could always just kick it at my place, too. ”
svelte digits lace with his & a petite frame weaves throughout the sea of bodies before them. anything sounded better than spending another minute at such a b o r i n g function, so it’s no surprise that she opted to dip with the male rather than stay another MUNDANE moment. stepping out into the fresh air, she’ll rake nimble fingers through dark tresses before diminutive shoulders give a small shrug. ‘ i’m down for whatever --- ya crib would be cool, though. ’

“ and when you said you were gonna ‘tear this ass up’ – ahh. you used to be a real charmer. ” he smiles, looking up at the ceiling as he remembers the thought. truly, zach didn’t think this would ever happen. he had a little crush at first, but he didn’t expect to fall SO deeply in love ; he wouldn’t trade it for the world, though.
‘ used to be ? ‘m DEFINITELY still a charmer, thank you v e r y much ! ’ he most certainly isn’t, but the blond truly likes to believe that he is. ‘ whatever i was saying to you MUST have worked though --- considering the fact that you decided to stick around. ’

“ that’s unique – ” he takes a sip from his cup, eyes gazing around the room. “ it’s pretty. pretty name for a pretty woman. ” and he’ll focus back on her, shifting his weight to lean against the wall. “ so what else you gon’ get into tonight ? i say we should DIP. lemme get to know ya. ”
‘ thanks, that’s s w e e t of you. ’ & she’ll cant her head to the side --- tongue poking out to swipe across a lesser brim before she’s ARCHING a manicured brow at his words. ‘ before you came along, i was gonna bounce. but, i think your suggestion might sound more worthwhile. ’

“ i get it .. – i’m really proud of you, y’know? and i’m really happy we got to this point. ” he releases a sigh of contentment, and his fingers are mindlessly tracing circles on the fabric of holden’s shirt. “ remember when we first met ? ” zach laughs at the memory – “ you rolled in through my window .. DRUNK. and then just never left. how r o m a n t i c. ”
a low chuckle passes through chapped brims at the memory of their first meeting & holden can’t help but be GLAD that he was intoxicated that night. if he hadn’t of been, then perhaps the pair would have never crossed paths and he wouldn’t be the very individual he’s grown to be today. ‘ it was e s p e c i a l l y romantic when all i did was eat your scooby doo snacks & drink your juice boxes. ’

“ i l o v e you, ” his voice is low and monotone, but then again, it always is. you could never tell what noah was TRULY feeling. but he did love her .. to an extent. “ just don’t apologize. it’s – it’s as much my fault as it is yours ; don’t leave. okay ?? ” he couldn’t handle her leaving. without HER, noah crumbles. last time she left, it wasn’t good – he tries to not let her know she has that power.
‘ i LOVE you, too. ’ & she did, with her entire being. though the lows came all too o f t e n, and the highs never seemed to last long, fawn still loved him more than ANYTHING in the world. ‘ if you don’t want me to go, then i won’t. just --- ( promise ) me we won’t fight again tonight ? ’ & she’ll only strive for tonight, knowing that anything further past the point is UNFORESEEABLE.

with flora, everything just seemed to click. jasper had never had this kind of relationship ; & to be honest, it wasn’t exactly the ideal relationship thing.. but it was enough for jasper and he hoped it was enough for her. blinking his eyelids slowly, he gave her a shy smile & nuzzled his head into the crook of her neck. ‘ you’re making me blush. ’ the voice was a little unclear since he was still kind of, hiding his face.
an ANGELIC grin graces cherubic features & soft petals press gently against his forehead as n i m b l e digits find themselves entangled in dark tresses of hair. ‘ --- just means i’m doing MY JOB right. ’ her relationship with jasper meant ( everything ) to the female. without him, surely she’d be a complete & utter wreck.

brims ( tremble ), heart a whirlwind as it pummels against an ACHING rib cage & she’s at a loss for words --- voice seemingly s t u c k in the back of a dry throat. an all too recognizable semblance in the crowd, one that seaira hasn’t come in contact with in what feels like MONTHS. & she’s desperately trying to escape before optics brimming with tears find the time to meet with his. but it’s almost as if she’s ( stuck ), heel clad feet glued to the ground as nothing but P A N I C begins to settle in. why here ? why now ? god only knows, but there’s no use in trying to run now.

‘ let’s get DRUNK. ’ a rough week, to say the least. she’ll spare him the ( grueling ) details, though, in an attempt to not bore the male half to death. --- a drink or two wouldn’t hurt, right ? that is, if she’s able to l i m i t herself for once. her & alcohol don’t mix well, given the past they’ve shared. but it’s the twenty year old’s way of COPING, her escape from past & present pains that seem to constantly haunt her throughout everyday life. ‘ i mean, only if you want to ! ’ and god, she’s hoping he does. drinking alone is ( NEVER ) any fun, but it wouldn’t be the first time she’s done it.

gentle fingertips MINDLESSLY trace abstract shapes into a b a r e chest, mahogany hues never straying from an all too familiar countenance --- one she’ll never ( grow tired ) of gazing upon. & it’s simply the very THOUGHT of him that causes vermilion glossed petals to upturn into the softest of smiles. ‘ i love you. ’ the brunette wholeheartedly means it too, how could she not ? despite the many ups & downs of such a ( ROCKY ) relationship, he’d always hold a special place in her f r a g i l e heart.

he takes his lesser lip between teeth, before flashing a smile her way – followed with a low chuckle, as he swirls his drink around. “ alright. i didn’t come here with anyone either .. really, i thought i’d know somebody, but this might just be the most w h a c k party i’ve ever popped up at .. – i’m derrek, by the way. ” he wishes it was brighter in that room, just so he could really make eye contact. it would certainly step his game up.
‘ honestly, i was told that shit’s was supposed to be BUMPING. but from what i’ve seen so far, this entire party is a whole other type of b u n k. ’ words are followed by the sound of soft, mellifluous laughter. & as he introduces himself, she can’t help but offer another ( angelic ) smile at the sound of his name. ‘ cute, sorta like you. --- i’m zekeia, if you were wondering. ’

zachary SWEARS his heart skipped a beat, or two. and .. – was he s t i l l smiling ? despite obnoxiously being above all the blankets, the timid boy felt a wave of warmth engulf his entire body, because holden loved him. and he said it, out loud ; and zach truly felt like he meant it, too. he doesn’t say it back. it’s well known what his feelings are - instead, he’ll place a very gentle kiss on holden’s shoulder, and wiggle around to be comfortable in his position. “ why can’t you be this cute with me.. all the time ? ” they definitely won’t be getting much sleep now.
a year ago, holden would have N E V E R admitted to being in love --- or even given such ( absurdity ) a single thought. the very idea of such a strong emotion scared him to d e a t h. but, with each fleeting moment that passed, he couldn’t help but fall in love with zachary. he was the blond’s everything & meant the absolute WORLD to him. ‘ it’s taken a while for me to be c o m f o r t a b l e with myself, you know ? i think that’s why i don’t say these things all the time ; but i’ll try to tell you more often, i promise. ’

he lights his cigarette, taking a l o n g drag ; inhaling chemicals, and the reality of what he was saying – noah truly does do this too often. he PROMISED he would work on it, though. so he releases smoke from between his lips, taking steps towards the girl at his door, stopping once he was close enough to cup her cheek and place a kiss on her forehead. “ i’ll drop it. forget it – just a stupid fight. ” cue the stubborn sigh.
her breathing hitches as his hand comes in contact with SOFT SKIN, head canting to the side slightly before brims form a diminutive frown. ‘ i’m sorry. ’ words are WHISPERED, nearly silent if one wasn’t listening. yet, the apology is ( sincere ) --- hers a l w a y s are. ‘ i shouldn’t have said anything. should’ve just kept my MOUTH shut, then we wouldn’t have gotten into an argument in the first place. ’

… it’s not like she H A S N ‘ T noticed him watching her the whole night ; derrrek leans forward, bringing the styrofoam cup to full brims as he ponders the thought of approaching her. and it’s NOT like he had anything to lose – it’s either get with her, or leave. so he stands up, breezing past the people, until he’s RIGHT in front of her ; unavoidable. “ what’s up with you ? standing over here like you’re too CUTE for this party. ” the teasing tone is obvious ; nonetheless, probably ruder than intended.
she’d have to be completely OBLIVIOUS to not take note of wandering eyes --- entirely unaware of the c o m m o t i o n surrounding her. but zekeia’s hues have been ( GLUED ) to him throughout the entire night as well, never straying, not even once. a rare occasion, truly, but not when it came to an individual so seemingly alluring. she’ll cast her gaze aside as he approaches her, though --- not wanting to come across as EAGER. ‘ too cute for this party ? now, are you talking about yourself ? ’ a soft chuckle falls past crimson painted petals, before she’s offering a small smile. ‘ i’ll be honest, i was waiting around for a friend but she n e v e r showed ; so here i am. ’
