About Me:

Hello there! You can call me Amber. I'm 26 years old and I live in the pacific northwest!

I'm a polytheist who worships deities from the Norse and Greek pantheons, as well as some archangels.

I currently work with: Themis, Hekate, Hestia, Demeter, and Skadi.

I also worship: Apollon, Artemis, Hermes, Ares, Dionysos, Odin, Archangels Michael and Raphael, and Lucifer.

I also work alongside my ancestors and some of the family saints (Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint Anne-Mother of Mary).

I have a hard time labeling myself, but most of my craft falls within folk traditions from my ancestors' places of origin. I also work closely with plant/herbal magic, spirits, and the beautiful Sun. I practice divination as well! My main methods are tarot/oracle and dream divination, but I also dabble in reading runes and ornithomancy (I am bird obsessed and it shows).

Outside of my craft, I enjoy bird watching/hanging out with my bird friends, foraging, singing, writing short stories, reading, gardening, playing video games, and hashing out my family tree. Genealogy is a big part of my craft, but my ancestral veneration has a mundane property to it as well.

The makeshift balcony garden is THRIVING.

What I’m growing:

Cherry tomatoes, dandelion, rosemary, catnip, cucumber, sage, echinacea, thyme, oregano, basil, dill, sweet marjoram, cilantro, parsley, spearmint, lemon balm, moonflower, heliotrope, dwarf sunflower, white verbena, cape marguerite, calendula, cosmos, and chamomile. (Most are still within the first few months of growth)

It’s getting so crowded out here but I love my lil babies so much!! All but about two or three of them were planted from seed myself and it’s really strengthened my relationship with them!

Casual reminder that you can connect to the earth in so many ways, even within the confines of the concrete jungle 🫶

I had a dream last night that a magpie flew into my room and snuggled into my arms while I was reading a book. When it hopped off to land on the floor, it manifested multi colored rose petals in soft pink, blue, and red.

Has to be one of the sweetest lil dreams I’ve ever had 😭 not sure if there was any meaning to it besides just a breath of fresh air from all the stress lately, but it was very cute and I miss my lil dreamworld magpie.

I’ve been putting off going to my doctor to ask about POTS for a while, but I legit just fainted in the kitchen and I think it’s time 🙃

Sometimes ancestor work is all about celebrating the ones you’ve loved.

And sometimes it’s crying at your altar and promising to never spend another cent on stupid shit if they can just help you not get evicted somehow.

My great grandma would’ve known what to do, and since she’s not around anymore, I just sit at the altar and talk to her. Things look grim, but at least I always know there’s someone who loves me, even if they’re on the other side of the veil.

We were magically able to come up with the money today through the unexpected help of a family member on my husband’s side. I also got a job through this family member, who will be paying me $1500 a month to watch her baby full time.

I’m feeling so blessed and loved right now. I will keep my promise to the ancestors to be significantly more frugal with my money. And I’ll be baking up some sweets when the house isn’t so dang hot to thank them as well.

There is an entity who seems to have made it their mission to increase my ability to lucid dream?

He takes various forms in my dream. Always masculine, always named Sam. Appearances can vary, but the one thing that always stays the same are their eyes. A yellow-orange amber color that I’ve grown to recognize almost immediately by how intense they are. Almost cat-like.

I had spent about a week without dreams, which is very unusual for me. And then the night before last I dreamt that I was in a room very similar to my own living room, but with some minor differences. The room was flip flopped, and there were a few things missing as well as the addition of some odd trinkets here and there. The most noticeable difference was that there was a stang leaning up against my altar, a half burned white candle sitting in the middle. I was alone in the room and took a moment to walk around and look at everything. I was not yet aware that I was dreaming.

At some point, Sam appeared on the couch. Different than he looked before. In my previous dreams, he was blonde, tall, and lithe. He barely spoke to me, and he was always staring at a spread of playing cards. This time he was a bit more filled out, and had dark brown hair and tan skin. But the eyes were the same, and I recognized him fairly quickly. He watched me walk around the room for a bit before asking me to come sit down and talk with him.

I sat, and he asked me if anything looked different than I thought it should. I pointed out the stang and he said “oh yeah. That’s a gift. You can’t take it with you when you wake up, but it’ll be here if you ever need it.”

I paused for a moment before saying “I’m dreaming.” And the room seemed to shift a bit. I’d heard a lot of stories about people admitting they were dreaming and then having others in the dream begin to act weird or creepy, so I braced myself for Sam to say some weird shit. Instead, he clapped his hands in a triumphant way and said “very good!” Before snapping his fingers and pointing at a sliding glass door that had just manifested out of nowhere. “There’s your door, we’ve done enough for tonight.” I argued a bit, a tad upset that I was finally lucid and he was insisting we ended it here. I had so many questions, I wanted to sit there and figure out exactly who he was and what his interest in helping me could possibly be. But after a bit of insistence from him, I finally stood up and walked out the door.

I’m genuinely not sure what’s going on, but I’m not uncomfortable with that tbh.

Man I’m so tired of this nasal polyp shit. Met with my ENT on June 9th to talk about my insurance refusing my dupixent. The plan was to remove one obstructive polyp in office and proceed with the Sinuva implant so we could document its failure and get moving on reapplying for dupixent. He assured me that endoscopic surgery would not be necessary and that he would make a note that he does not suggest it since the polyps just grow back as soon as the healing process is over.

Called on June 26th to find out my ENT hadn’t put in the order still.

Called on July 6th and he still hadn’t put in the order.

Got a call on July 8th from the surgery scheduler. He didn’t put in an order for in-office removal and Sinuva implant. He put in an order for functional endoscopic surgery.

I have not been able to get in contact with my ENT. He forwards my patient portal messages. He doesn’t call back when I leave a message on his extension. He’s too busy to talk when I call the office.

And now I’m hella worried because if we’re moving forward with surgery, what does that mean for my dupixent? My insurance said that I had to be medically incapable of undergoing surgery again. This is not showing that I’m incapable of getting surgery. Over a month of radio silence and he’s putting orders in that he assured me weren’t necessary.

I just want to breathe again dude. It’s been like 5 years since I was able to breathe properly. I can’t sleep, I have severe back pain from the straining, etc etc etc. Surgery does nothing besides remove the current polyps. They grow back within a month. Literally what do I have to do for this fucking doctor to actually listen to me and do what he says he’s gonna do.

In quite a few of my dreams there’s been a character who calls himself Sam or Samuel. He kinda just started showing up, and attached himself to me during dreams. Gives bestie vibes. We sit and eat lunch, chat, etc. He’s become an extremely fond presence in my dreams, despite him not existing outside of them. Almost starting to wonder if this is spirit contact.

Side note that I just realized. I don’t have nightmares when he’s in the dream. Seeing him has become almost a symbol of “okay, this dream is safe. I’m safe here.”

Not only is it okay to stop being friends with someone because they're racist, it's the bare minimum thing to do.

And just so we're clear, if you stick around with racists, you can't get upset that you're associated with racism or that people think you're a racist too. Because if your friend's racism isn't enough to end a friendship over, that means you're okay with racism. Being okay with racism means you're racist. Just so you know.
