I wanted to fall in love...
For the @yuriolympics Mini Round 3: Alternate Universes
A visit back to my old Love Bullet AU! It's been over a year since I touched this AU so I'm glad I got an excuse to. I still think about it a lot so once again it's time to yap.
The three girls have gotten killed in some way by the Black Organization during various points in the time leading up to or during the operation to take down the organization. However, they have all reincarnated as cupids since they have never had their love officially reciprocated. To have a second chance at life, they must help humans fall in love.
While working as cupids, they try to solve the mystery behind their deaths. Shiho is the only one of the girls with the clearest idea of what happened. On the flip side, Kazuha has no clue of why she was killed. The only clue Kazuha has is Heiji's omamori that was left in her pocket.
They soon realized that ten years have passed since their deaths and life has continued on without them. Though not everyone has completely moved on. In particular, Heiji and Shinichi have quit being detectives and distanced themselves from each other. The girls determined that the key to this mystery lies with the two former teen detectives.
Now if only they can get those two idiots to start talking to each other again...

I have written drabbles for this AU so I'll maybe make a follow up post compiling them after cleaning it up. Though I did make a short writing fill, with a RanShi focus, for the previous round so here you go~

Ivory, that’s the color of her hair now, a beautiful yet sickening thing that drained the life out of her. It’s just her luck that Shiho had to drag others down into this purgatory. Who would've thought that they'd gain a second life as cupids?
As much of a shock as it is to see the girl’s warm brown hair turn a stark white, Shiho must confront Ran. If it’s anything that she learned in her previous life, Shiho can’t run away. Not anymore.
And yet, that feeling of cowardice begins to rear its ugly head.
She wants to run, she wants to hide from the reality of things. The fact that she couldn’t save them. The fact she couldn’t save her. They had their happy endings written. Kazuha with Heiji. Ran with Shinichi.
Then there was a miscalculation that tore it all away. The Black Organization may have collapsed but not without any casualties.
So knowing all of that, how dare Shiho show her face to Ran after taking away the ending she’s waited so long for?
...
Even so, if anything were to happen to her now, Shiho couldn’t forgive herself. So Shiho walks over to the pair of angels and introduces herself with a name long forgotten.
