if you're not a fan of thick and greasy sunscreens, check out chemical sunscreens. their light gel-like texture just melts straight into your skin. however, there's some major discussion on the environmental consequences of certain chemical sunscreens ingredients .

remember . . .chemical sunscreens should always be applied first, while physical sunblock should always be applied last . . . and always re-apply when you're outside !

Miche Bloomin’ Eyelashes

On the road to finding flattering false eyelashes. I’ve noticed a few new brands that popped up that cater to the East Asian Eye type. A typical East Asian Eye has an epicanthic fold, a skin fold of the upper eyelid that covers the inner eye corner. While not exclusive to East Asians, it serves a challenge for people with these eyelid shapes who buy eyelashes from Western stores. Eyelashes stocked in Western stores are big, bold, and heavy. Depending on the style and eye shape, these bold eyelashes drown out a look, giving an almost broom-like look that distracts rather than attract. 

Miche Bloomin’ False Eyelashes are the most affordable and quality eyelashes that I’ve used. For a $1.50 you can buy yourself 6-8 pairs of lashes at Daiso for the price of one at your local department or drug store. You can basically try out a bunch of styles under $10 to see what fits your eyes the best. These eyelashes are light, don’t require cutting the lash band to fit your eyes, and are hand weaved (which creates a lighter band for comfort). Many of the styles are tapered offering a wispy and flattering look for majority of eyeshapes. 

The standard eyelashes sold in Western stores typically overpower the eye and covers up the natural beauty of monolids and tapered double eyelids. For $1.50, no other product can compare. While you might think “dollar store” eyelashes to be cheap, scratch, and shiny, these are the exact opposite. Soft, matte, light... basically everything you would look for in eyelashes!
