The US didn’t “accept Iran’s terms of ceasefire”; it surrendered to a new balance of power.

Iran has established the material conditions on the ground and set the principles for ending US aggression in the region. The US has had to come to terms with this new reality or continue a war that it cannot possibly win.

This by no means implies Iran is trusting the US.

By insisting on ending the war rather than settling for a temporary ceasefire, Iran has ensured there can be no return to the status quo. It forces the US to change its behaviour and to negotiate under *Iranian* terms of reference, with the US in a new role as the one taking Iranian demands instead of its usual position of being the one imposing them on the rest of the world.

The geopolitical map of the region has been redrawn. Iran is even stronger than before this unjust and illegitimate war, emerging as the most potent anti-imperialist force shaping the regional order.

It is Iran’s - the government backed by the people, heroic resistance that has shown the world, and Americans, the limits of US genocidal power.

Yanno a lot of people talk about Iran being "weakened" after this conflict but while it's come at a terrible cost for them, I'd argue that this war has raised Iran's status among the nations dramatically. The failure of the US and the Zentity to get a single other ally to seriously aid in their aggression against Iran betrays the serious decline in usamerica's diplomatic prestige in a way that's almost unthinkable even compared to 2003, and when the US and the Zentity admit defeat, which is the only way that this conflict will end, Iran will emerge onto the world stage as a genuine world power and not just as one of the stronger regional powers in the middle east as it was before.
