Dear Diary,

It’s been sixteen days since the founders left, taking every last travel pod with them. I want to be surprised, even angry, but really I’m just sort of numb. I don’t have time to be upset though. I’ve got kids to take care of. I’ve been cooking since I was seven and gardening since I was five. I know I can do this but I’m nervous. There’s thirty of us in all, the youngest being two and the oldest having just turned eighteen. How long can we realistically expect to last like this?

Dear Diary,

The supply shipment didn’t come in today. It was scheduled for 14:00 and just didn’t show up. The founders told us not to worry about it. Other than that, there’s really no news. I’ve spent all day in the garden. I’m tired, but tye founders told me it seems like I’m the only one who can get anything to grow very well here. Maybe it wouldn’t be so difficult for them if they remembered to water the plants once in awhile.

At lunch, Hale told me that he thinks the founders are plotting. I don’t know what to think

One of the founders told me they’d give me this journal if I shut up, so here I am! Honestly, the founders have been acting weird. Like they’re keeping some big secret from us. That is generally not a good thing, but hey, it doesn’t hurt to have a little hope.
