We can celebrate every year on that date and worry about if it’s correct or not later.” Might as well offer a decent suggestion… even if she herself had no idea how old and new calendars lined up for her own birthday. Of course… she wasn’t a true Octoling as she appeared anyway, so things did mean a tad differently.

“Oh gosh, um... maybe the... day that I escaped the Metro? It was kinda like a rebirth of a sort, I think... That... was the day that my life truly began.” She obviously still remembers stuff from before then, but... that wasn’t a life. She was a soldier, through and through, and then... she wasn’t.

Now she was just... herself.
