2.1.26 • another difficult day spent with the never-ending theoretical chapter of my thesis, a million tangerines of emotional support, and a frustration-induced headache.
put in 18 min a day.
that's 100 hours a year!
and you'll outperform 95% of the world in any skill you choose.
Easy Ways To Significantly Improve Your Life
they seem like not a big deal, but if you do them correctly, i promise your life will have the same glow up mine had!
1. GET ENOUGH SLEEP. top 1 priority of any girl that truly cares about herself. a good night of sleep is extremely important for your mental health and overall wellbeing, mental clarity and emotional regulation. also beauty sleep is real, you won't maintain your prettiness if your sleep schedule is bad. aim for uninterrupted 7-9 hours per day (with REM). no more, no less
2. KEEP ALWAYS EDUCATING YOURSELF. remember when women and girls couldn't go to school, universities or just learn anything aside the tradicional feminine roles? we collectively fought for this right, so please never stop learning. education is power and will never be a waste of time because you’ll always receive something back from your knowledge—and it’s the only thing no one can take away from you
3. MANAGE YOUR FINANCIALS WISELY. i need to scream this one. the current state of the whole world's economy isn't the best (it's actually the opposite, the prices change fast and you actually don't need all those material stuff your materialistic mind tells you. remember it's your time (your hours of work) being traded for what you buy
4. DRINK WATER. aside from kidney stones (i never had, but i know people who had and they suffered a lot), keeping hydrated gives you a better skin and help maintaining your energy always up. i'm not talking about soda, but pure water or natural juices. this is what truly counts
5. CREATE A COMFORTABLE LIVING SPACE. i'm being serious. my psychologist always says that our environment is a product of our mind, so if your living space is messy and dirty, it'll impact on your mind. also, add some decorations you like, make it nice place to stay
6. LIMIT SCREEN TIME. no, you don't need to spend five hours per day on social media, i'll be an extremist and say you don't even need more than one hour per day, but at least don't make it your whole day or a copy mechanism for life. queue is your friend here on Tumblr, you'll have an active blog without losing your valuable time all day here. you probably don’t even remember the last post you saw, so it’s not that important at all
7. USE YOUR OWN BRAIN. at first, it may seem fun & easier to use other people (or even AIs) to think for you and solve your problems, but you’re basically atrophying your brain’s abilities to think, be creative and understand the world by your own perspective which is so rich and unique. there’s no problem in needing people (AI is a deeper problem tho), but don’t trade your mental abilities for it. connect the dots yourself. exercise your brain by reading books, playing memory/logic games and experiencing life according to your own thoughts and rules

how to have a smaller appetite ۶ৎ
• obvious but most important, start eating smaller portions. your body WILL adjust, dw
• slowly but surely, let your body get used to less sugary foods by eating sugars in moderation/barely eating them. you can pave your way to not eating them at all or rarely.
• if you are absolutely craving sugar, eat natural sugars. healthier than processed junk.
• on the topic of cravings, do your research based on your respective cravings and consume the healthier, actually nutritious option.
• another thing to study on: foods that fulfill and lessen your apetite, as well as causes/triggers of binges and how to avoid it.
• take vitamins, it helps more than you know. even if they can be gross - just try to shake it off, it goes away quick.
• eat slowly and mindfully when you DO end up eating. enjoy your food, take sips of water in between, bite thoroughly. savor your food then so you don’t want more later.
• drink lots of liquid. besides plain water there is lemon water, teas, added flavor (electrolytes only), iced tea, coffee, diet drinks, etc.
• eating ice can help. i know many people here are anemic, so this is like hitting two birds with one stone. and do not, i repeat, do not chew on hard, frozen ice.
• brush your teeth after any meal. mouthwash, even. without any taste of food lingering in your mouth, you won’t want more.
• gum and mints. self explanatory, it’s oral stimulation and gets rid of other tastes.
• avoid mukbangs. maybe it might help to some, especially if it’s messy and/or large, gross foods, but anything else? avoid it - your hunger will be more likely to spike.
• distract yourself. yes, looking at motivation absolutely can be helpful, but sometimes you need your mind off the subject entirely. watch time go by without the cravings or binge urges.
• prioritize sleep!! aim for 7+ hours of sleep each night, and take naps if necessary. just resting can help as well.
• don’t beat yourself up, we all mess up. especially when eating normal foods, and small portions of it. compare it to an average person’s diet. (remember eating and/or binging on healthier foods > binging on super processed unhealthy fast foods!)
Always the walker.
