Affirmations for people who will absolutely not go insane in the next few days before Film is Fabulous announces anything about the missing episodes:

It will not be The Daleks’ Master Plan. If it were The Daleks’ Master Plan, I would be sosososo excited, but there is absolutely no way, so I don’t even have to get my hopes up about seeing Katarina or Bret or Sara.

It will not be Massacre 4. As insane as that would make me, the chances are in fact very small that it would be that episode, so I will not start getting excited thinking about the Doctor’s speech.

It will not be Evil of the Daleks 5. Again, the chances are minuscule, and I will not waste emotional energy thinking about what if we got to see the Twojamie divorce.

(I don’t think the affirmations are working…)

Hi my name is Doctor Who and I have medium length curly brown hair that looks a bit like a wig and questionably coloured eyes because of the Faction Paradox meddling in my timeline and a lot of people tell me I look like Paul McGann (AN: if u don't know who he is get da hell out of here!). I also died recently, so I was in a morgue in a city called San Francisco in the USA where I regenerated (I'm on my eighth regeneration). I’m a fan of nineteenth century fashion (in case you couldn't tell) and I wear mostly New Years’ costumes I stole. I love the morgue lockers and I steal all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a cream shirt with matching waistcoat on it and a pink silk cravat, green trousers and a black tailcoat. I was also wearing these shoes that fit perfectly. I was walking outside Grace Holloway’s house. There were fireworks in purple green and brilliant yellow, which I was very happy about. The Master tried to steal my body. I put up my middle finger at him.

One of the reasons I hate the ‘it’s because of the bad writing’ excuse for people hating on the thirteenth doctor is because when Jodie Whittaker was cast as thirteen there were people saying doctor who was ruined and that the doctor shouldn’t be a woman before any of her episodes came out, so it feels more like coming up with a more acceptable excuse to hate her than actual criticism of her era

And like this isn’t me saying you can have problems with some of the writing decisions, I certainly do, but I still don’t see that as a valid excuse for dismissing the whole era as bad. Like what’s arguably doctor who’s most racist story was popular enough that the one off characters from it got their own audio spin off and are regularly referenced in books and audios, and the companion for that whole season is built on a racist stereotype and still has plenty of fans, then how is a few bad writing choices grounds for dismissal of 13s whole era. Please do talk about and criticize the bad writing choices of her era, just as you would with another doctor, but saying that there’s bad writing so therefore her era is bad/not worth watching when the white male doctors don’t get that treatment still feels misogynistic
