i love my partner.

he reaches for me in his sleep, calls out to me, caresses and kisses me.

they treat me like im the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen. encourages me to try harder, push myself a little further every day.

he says the things no one wants to hear, because they know i need to hear it.

they always miss me, even if we’re 10 feet apart. they always want to hold me, touch me, be near me.

he’s always thinking about me. talking to me throughout the day, updating me on cool things they find. they’re sending me things i think i would look good in, would like, or would find funny.

they tell me about their dreams. there is nothing more on this planet i want than to make them come true. his ideas are unending, their mind amazes me.

i find myself thinking about who i would be without him. i know i would be okay, but would i be where i’m at right now? probably not.

so much has happened between me and my partner in the last 5 years, it feels we have molded into one being. he is me and i am him. we are one in the same, breathing life and meaning and love into one another.

he told me once, that even if we were little balls of energy floating through space, they’d find their way back to me.

i hope we are lovers in every lifetime.

A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara - started last week. so far it has been heartbreaking, funny, and made me fall in love with the main character and I'm not even halfway through.

The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins - I just read the hunger games trilogy for the first time, so this is next on my list as soon as it becomes available at my library!

Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins - after songbirds and snakes, of course, but I wanted to put it on here regardless

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky - i love this book and it is one of my all time favourites, but i want to do a reread and annotate !

There is something so beautiful and precious about physically reading and consuming a book..

When I am holding a book in my hands and diving into any piece of literature, it sticks to my mind better than surfing through pdfs or online articles. I love the feel of a book in my hands and carrying it everywhere. The feel of pages and turning them AND THE SMELL OF BOOKS OMG I LOVE THE PHYSICAL BOOKS I HOPE THEY NEVER DIE OR GO OUT OF FASHION IN OUR ERA!!!

I swear once my exams are over im fucking hibernating and reading all the books on my reading list
