The reason I personally don't understand people shipping Arthur and Mary is because it seems so egotistical

I am not saying she's bad person for asking for help, obviously she's a woman in 19th century and Arthur is her trusted one. But the way she constantly asks Arthur to change, knowing what he does and how he is and especially subtly guilttrips him with "oh damn you never change..." Is...yeah

For all the people saying that they should've ran away together if Arthur didn't have tb, they'd resent eachother within a month lol
