personality-hikari is a kind, loving, excitable, and curious little kitten girl. She can be very clumsy when she’s in the middle of her zoomies. As a result, she’s prone to booboos and ouchies. She’s very sensitive when she’s scared or hurt and only calms down when she’s given cuddles.
She is also very brave and friendly when she sees something she perceives as cute, even if it’s a monster or otherworldly creature. She will treat it like a puppy or a new friend. Seriously, this girl can convince cthulu to have a tea party with her.
She doesn’t have a single bad bone in her body. But when she does get angry, all hell breaks loose. She becomes feral and will claw, scratch, or bite anything that provokes her.
She is also diagnosed with DCD, or dyspraxia. This means her fine and gross motor skills develop slower than kids her age. This causes her to have trouble with a lot of different things, like tying her shoes, holding scissors, brushing her hair, or buttoning her overalls. It makes her feel self-conscious because she needs more help than other kids and she feels embarrassed because of it.
Background- hikari is a special child, born from a one of a kind star in the Milky Way galaxy; The zodiac of the cat. When she first arrived to earth, she was nothing but a tiny little red haired kitten. Barely able to speak or walk, she was all alone and frightened. Soon, she was taken in by a kind woman, Hotaru Hoshino, who found her in the streets all hungry and cold.
Hotaru first took hikari in as a stray kitten, but discovered something incredible. Hikari was able to turn into a little girl. Well, halfway. She still had the kitten ears and tail, but had the appearance of a human child. This made hotaru love her even more and she raised her as her own daughter.
However, hikari received constant bullying and criticism for her appearance, with many kids and adults calling her names like “freak” or “devil”. She was very hurt and afraid of these humans, so Hotaru found a school for kids just like her. Kirameki elementary. At this school, there were kids with animal features just like her. And each kid was from the zodiac.
As hikari got older, she began to discover all kinds of new things about the world and herself.
