I was super busy at the beginning of July so I had a late start, but I managed to finish 5 pieces this year! Very glad I got to draw art for some lovely moots hehe, your characters are all so creative~ ✨ Thank you as well to those who attacked my characters this year! 🫶
Here's my piece for the @hetalia-20-anniversary-zine, featuring my favourite country in real life (Scotland) and in Hetalia (Norway), along with my favourite ship (ScotNor)💕
Some of my best memories of living in Scotland were going to the ceilidhs, traditional Scottish and Irish social gatherings that usually involve a lot of dancing! Even as a newcomer, I remember being quickly welcomed into the dances, and having an absolute blast whirling around with my friends for hours until we were all sore and out of breath 😆 In my piece, I tried to capture the warmth, energy, and joy from these dances! 💃🕺More details under the cut~
Fun facts!
Scotland is wearing a formal Prince Charlie kilt outfit without the outer jacket
Scotland's kilt itself is based on the Scottish National Tartan
Norway is wearing a bunad, though it might not be as obvious from this back view ^^"
The four-piece band on the stage is the rest of the UK bros (Northern Ireland, England, Ireland, and Wales!)
The dancers in the background are my OCs (Robbie, Serafina, Isla, Rion, and Michele!)
The background is inspired by the Teviot Debating Hall, where I attended many a ceilidh while going to uni there
Now that I've moved away, I miss Scotland dearly. But I often try to capture my memories in my art, so I'm very glad I had the opportunity to draw this piece! Hetalia was also one of my earliest big fandoms and an important part of my life as a teen, inspiring my writing, art, cosplay, and love of history. I even met some of my now-closest real-life friends through this fandom! While I know the series isn't perfect, I'm still glad it exists. ^^ So a very big thank you to Himaruya for your hard work! And thank you so much @lyresbird, the rest of the mod team, and all the lovely contributors! It was such an honor to help mod the zine and also contribute a piece~
If you want to see more Hetalia anniversary art, our zine is completely FREE to download here! Everyone's work turned out amazing, so please come check us out! 💖
My piece for the @jjbaalttimelinezine!! One of my very first zine pieces was a sad scene of Kakyoin in Morioh. (You can see it here!) It's still one of my favorite pieces I've ever drawn, so I was really excited to revisit that concept but with a happier vibe this time! 💗
This is my take on what would happen if Noriaki survived Part 3, met back up with Ryoko (his cousin from the CDDH spin-off novel, for those who haven't read it) and joined the Duwang Gang in taking down Kira! I feel like he'd work closely with Jotaro and Rohan, while Ryoko would be off hanging with Josuke and the younger crew~
This was an absolute beast of a piece to finish thanks to the street perspective, having to draw buildings, and adding all the other little details. But I had a blast drawing it! Thank you so much for the opportunity!
Also, our zine is completely FREE to download here! So if you wanna see more awesome Jojo AUs, then come check us out! 🌟
Here's my art for the 2026 edition of the @seaunseenzine! 💙🦑
I chose to illustrate a meeting between a flamboyant cuttlefish (Ascarosepion pfefferi) and a striped pyjama squid (Sepioloidea lineolata), as both species are found in the Indo-Pacific waters near Australia. I was also inspired by photos I saw of these lil guys sitting atop of coins, which really shows off how small they are~ (Adults of both species can get to about 3 inches long, but the babies are much much smaller!)
I'm really glad I finally got to draw these lil bebes! If you want to check out more gorgeous ocean art and support a good cause, the zine is still available for purchase here! It's only $1 minimum and all proceeds will go to Australian Marine Conservation Society, which helps with protecting marine habitats around Australia.
Thank you @circlejourneyart for hosting again, and thank you for having me! ^^
God Syttende Mai / Happy Norwegian Constitution Day!
Posting a lil watercolor-style doodle of my favorite Hetalia boi to celebrate ❤️ Wayyy back when I first got into Hetalia, I always had this headcanon that the 17th of May was Norway's birthday~ (Maybe next year I'll draw him in a bunad)
Purple sea urchins (Strongylocentrotus purpuratus) and a kelp forest scene that I drew for @20kleagueszine. A little tribute to the sea urchins I've seen in tide pools, in aquariums and on the beaches, and to understated-yet-beautiful diversity of the kelp forests I've snorkeled in. 💜
A trio of redpolls (Acanthis flammea) that I drew for the 2026 edition of @polarlightszine! I love these lil guys, they look like house sparrows but fancy~ Also the one at the top is the female. I tried to make her look very regal ✨
I looooove doing wildlife art and I'm glad I finally got to draw some cute birbs! Thank you for having me! 💖
The zine is still available for purchase HERE and all proceeds go to the Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition, so come check us out for a good cause!
I drew Professor Birch for the Pokémon Trainer Collab, hosted by PoisonMeganium on Bluesky! Hoenn will forever be my favourite region and Birch is my fave professor as well (He reminds me of my old lab supervisor lol)
Here's my piece for Vol. 2 of the @hwsfemmephenomenon Hetagirls Zine! Since this year's theme was Traversing Textiles, I decided to do something a little different from my usual page art contribution: I handknitted a lace shawl with an olive branch pattern in honor of Ancient Greece! 💚
I've actually been knitting for far longer than I've been drawing (my mom and gran taught me when I was v young) and fiber arts/crafting/sewing has always been super important to me. So I was absolutely delighted to both mod and contribute to this project~ Thank you again for having me!
If you'd like to check out the rest of the zine, then you can download it for FREE here!! Every single piece is gorgeous and shows off so much love for our best girls 🫶 I highly recommend having a look!!
It's the start of a new year and it also happens to be the Year of the Horse, so I thought it would be the perfect time to share the piece I drew for the Year of the Horse wallpaper project, hosted @bycmykae! If you wanna download all wallpapers, you can find them for free here!
My horses' poses were heavily inspired by The Kelpies, a pair of metal horse statues created by artist Andy Scott and located in Falkirk, Scotland. I thought it would be a nice way to do some more animal drawing practice while also paying homage to one of my favorite countries 💙
Wishing you all the best of luck in the coming year! Let's make the most of it!🌟
My piece for @tbczine, a Nick and Maya zine! Honestly one of my fave parts of the og trilogy was the relationship between Phoenix, Maya and Pearl, they truly are THE disaster sibling trio ever 😆
I always liked the idea of the three of them going around Japanifornia and getting into random situations outside of the usual law case stuff. So here they are attending Will Powers' Walk of Fame star ceremony! I deffo experimented with a looser style for this piece, working directly off my sketch instead of doing line art, and I think it helped a bit with making my lines more dynamic~ (Tho handpainting the whole crowd was uhhhh maybe not the smartest choice lmao)
In any case, I'm glad I was able to contribute to this lovely zine! If you wanna see more, it's FREE to download here! Thank you again for having me! 🫶
@the-world-on-a-plate zine has now released, so I wanted to share my piece! I chose to illustrate Miss Taiwan and 滷肉饭 (lu rou fan), or Taiwanese braised pork rice bowl! 💖
This piece is inspired by the first time I learned to cook lu rou fan from scratch. I was at uni and missing the flavours of home, so I looked up this recipe from Woks of Life and gave it a shot! It was easier than I expected and the results came out super nice~ I also included a few other little nods to my heritage in this piece, including the Apple Sidra and Hey Song Sarsaparilla soda cans on the table, the bottles of soy sauce, oyster sauce, white pepper, and lao gan ma (chili oil) by the stove, and the Paos dishwashing liquid by the sink ^^
Thank you again for having me as a mod and contributor for this zine. It was such a lovely project to participate in!! Everyone's work is absolutely amazing and there are tons of great recipes as well! The zine is completely FREE to download, so please come check it out here!!
Commission for a Discord friend! He wanted Vault Boy playing basketball à la Space Jam, so I tried to deliver lmaoo 🏀 (It's uhhhh the secret Fallout basketball DLC guys trust me)
This was my second year participating (wooo Team Crystals!) and I was able to finish 6 attacks! That's double of last year so I consider that a win~
