It was late at night on the beach, and Inigo’s horse had escaped her stall. He called plenty of times for her, now exploring the beach since he saw her footprints. There was a small lantern in his hand, something he was accustomed to instead of the modern flashlight. He kept his eyes on the footprints below him, seeing a few strands of fallen hair here and there once he moved his lantern close enough to the ground.
He felt a hint of relief when he finally found his horse, but she appeared to be with someone. How long was she with him, he wasn’t sure, but she seemed safe.
“Indigo, there you are, I was looking all over for you!” he ran closer, his horse looking at him and letting out a light neigh. “I can’t thank you enough for looking after her. Is she alright? She isn’t hurt? She seems really attached to you now.” The horse was shy, but for some reason, she looked close to the stranger in Inigo’s eyes.
As much as Emalf wasn’t entirely fond of sand, he found himself walking along the beach during a late night walk, something he did to think-- or rather think less as his mind was too busy taking in the sights most of the time and it helped clear his head. That is where he came across a.. horse? Boy, those are a rare sight back home so he couldn’t help his face from lighting up, eyes darting around before approaching it.
“Ah.. there, there. What’re you doing out this late?”
The horse seemed a little nervous but he slowly walked closer, hand outstretched until he had gently brushed his fingers against the horse’s nose to let her get a sniff before slowly petting her cheeks and neck.
“There we go. Such a good horse huh.”
After several moments, enjoying his company with the horse and just petting her, the demon boy heard someone speak up relatively close. So this was his horse? She seemed to like him so he must be pretty good to her and she had just wandered away.
“Nah, she’s totally fine, dude. A pretty effin’ sweet girl if ya ask me.”
