Nara Clan Week 2026 - July 12th-18th!

Poll results are in! We will be doing this - woooo!!! Here is the prompt list for the event, still some ways out but it gives time to prepare for any who need it <3 If prompts are pre-done just wait until the week to post them on the right days, thanks!

During the week of July 12th-18th, this blog will be hosting it's first ever Nara Clan Week event! woot woot!!

We hope to see all our favorite canon Naras and Nara ocs during the event! All works should be new and made for this event. The above listed prompts are merely suggestions, to be used as a starting point for the vibes, you are free to interpret them as you see fit. If you have any questions please feel free to drop them in the ask box!

All works for the event that align with the rules will be shared to this blog, just make sure to tag the work with #naraclanweek and #naraclanweek2026 and to tag @naraclanweek so we can see each submission and reblog them here!

We will be accepting submission until July 31st, so no pressure to make every day once the event starts, just do your best and have fun! <3

Looking at progressing the adaptive elements of my cosplays to better fit my needs as my disabilities progress. Likely will make a blog or vlog as I go through the process. This is brought on by noticing that my higher support needs and more intense symptoms days are becoming more frequent, and wanting to continue with my hobby that brings me joy and means a lot to me. Just because I am disabled and having symptoms and support needs change, doesn't mean I should stop living my life or doing what brings me joy.

And to anyone who is finding me continuing to live my life and do the things I love inspirational, I invite you to take a moment to think about why you feel that, because I am just trying to exist and that shouldn't automatically fill you with inspiration.

Is my wig only kept on my head by the headband Hiei wears? Yes, because I forgot to pin the cap to my hair (wig grips are great, but not enough if you have an undercut)

I had this idea that Temari, being royalty, probably has to attend all sorts of important events, mingling with influential people from various nations to help her village. Just picture all those glamorous parties and balls where she's there representing her home, working to secure a brighter future for all her people. I like to imagine that Shikamaru as Hokage advisor would also take part in events like this. And at first, he would get mad but won’t understand why. But eventually, it would dawn on him that it’s all about her forced smile and the act she puts on for the guests. He would hate to see her not being her true self and miss her genuine, beautiful smile that he adores. He thinks that she is like the wind itself, deserving to be herself rather than just a pretty face making strategic deals for the village. Anyway, these were my thoughts while sketching Temari in a stunning dress for one of those events. I hope you like it!

Just a heads up - I might be mostly off social media for the next month. I am in concrunch, and just (officially) found out that it craftsmanship contest concrunch - which means even more intense. But Hiei officially has a contest he (and Yukina) are going to be in. My the cosplay gods smile upon me at this time.
