More MIRACLES! Baby Elijah can see!
A MIRACLE! Baby Elijah tested & can hear!
Baby Elijah receives a kiss from Richard Hotes as the team celebrates Baby Elijah's improved health since his first arrival to the United States from #Haiti in November of 2014.
Baby Elijah, originally abandoned in #Haiti, wins best dressed for the evening, accompanied by host family Robert and Lisa Hoye, joining the Hotes Foundation team in Los Angeles during the #HelpHaitiHome weekend.
Sean Penn thanks Richard Hotes (Founder of the Hotes Foundation) for reading his poem “Hero’s” at the JP HRO #HelpHaitiHome Gala!
Charlize Theron and Richard Hotes (founder of the Hotes Foundation) share a hug on stage at the JP HRO #HelpHaitiHome Gala to support #HaitiRelief.
We found The Wall Street Journal comments on the speeches at the JP HRO #HelpHaitiHome Gala way off base as the talks by both President Bill Clinton and Sean Penn were the shortest we’ve ever heard either make and were received by warm and exciting applause and a standing ovation. “Despite these highlights, a series of 20-plus minute speeches by Mr. Penn (who paired a light goatee with bed head), former President Bill Clinton, Alaska Structures Inc. founder Richard W. Hotes (who also read a poem he had composed) and the former Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe of Haiti made some guests dream fondly of long and tedious award shows, perhaps even Sunday’s Globes.” –WSJ Article “Rolling Out the Welcome Wagon in L.A.”
President Bill Clinton compliments Richard Hotes on his speech at the JP HRO #HelpHaitiHome Gala to support #HaitiRelief.
Former President Bill Clinton gives an incredible speech at the JP HRO#HelpHaitiHome Gala. Sean Penn and Richard Hotes (founder of the Hotes Foundation) embrace.

Team returns one year after Yolanda
The Hotes Foundation team was in the #Philippines on December 6th during Typhoon Ruby (#Hagupit). Thank the Good Lord this time there was minimal damage. We visited many of the villages and neighborhoods we had assisted last year following Typhoon Yolanda (#Haiyan). Sadly, there is very little evidence of aid in the hardest hit areas even though it has been more than a year. Our friends were very happy to see us though, as we were among the few groups who provided them significant assistance when they needed it most right after Typhoon Yolanda.
Watch Richard Hotes and volunteers with the Hotes Foundation donate#Thanksgiving meals and pies to YWCA Seattle King Snohomish, an organization that supports women and families in poverty.
We thank Holy Family Parish, Kirkland WA, The Salvation Army USA, New Beginnings-Ending Domestic Violence, Low Income Housing Institute, YWCA Seattle King Snohomish and Catholic Worker Movement for helping the#homeless, #veterans in need, and families in #poverty celebrate#Thanksgiving and for supporting people year-round. Watch Hotes Foundation volunteers donate 252 meals and 79 pies to support these organizations.
