Masterlist of stores (WIP: Updated Sep. 2022)
Wáłmàrt - Has dedicated LP/AP. They are easy to spot however. Avoid electronics, women’s, baby care, makeup, perfume, clearance, and jewelry (if applicable). Best is kids toys, and grocery. Will chase, prosecute, and ban. Not supposed to call police for anything under $25 but I’ve had friends experience otherwise. Goes for all stores operating under Sám’s Club/Wáłmárt INC.
Mïçhàèł’s - Unfortunately some stores have LP/AP and are dedicated (like mine). Mostly are plainclothes walking around with earpieces and/or walkie talkies. Has alarm/censors. Avoid lïfting in fine arts. Toys, home decor, and notebooks/sketchbooks are a safer bet. Has sensors located around all doors and doors will lock if activated to avoid a theft occurring (some may some may not).
Bôôks à Mïllīon - Has cameras but not actively monitored. No known LP/AP. Best to conceal in children’s isles, religious readings, and clearance. Avoid records/vinyls. Only store manager has the power to call police/prosecute.
Bárńeś @ Nöbłe - Has cameras that aren’t actively monitored. Only store managers have authority to be AP/LP and call police. Won’t chase. But will try to get a photo of your license plate. Children’s sections are best to conceal in. Avoid records/vinyls and electronics.
Ułtá - Has cameras and are actively monitored. Most employees have AP/LP training as you are hardly ever shopping alone. They will follow you around the store. Will call police and some cases will chase. Best to conceal in isles closest to the doors if you want to make a fast escape.
Sèphörà - Mall stores are severely dangerous. You’re better off just going to ûłtá. *Avoid the ones that are connected to a JÇP*. Will chase, prosecute, ban, etc. Stand alone stores such as outdoor malls/shopping centers are your safest bet if you plan to make a fast escape.
Tárgèt - Similar to Walmart but zero blind spots as there are a lot of cameras and can rotate. Dedicated AP. Will chase, prosecute, ban, and case build. Better off to go to one location and never go back after a łift.
Sałłÿ’s - Very lax. No LP/AP as of to date. Avoid corners as there are cameras/mirrors. Only 1-3 employees in the store. Assume cameras are being watched. Better to conceal in the middle isles or the inner part of outer isles. Not known to chase, prosecute, or ban.
Höt Töpic/Böx Lûnch - They operate under the same parent company Sycamore Partners. Some stores my have cameras but are hard to see. Store managers will act as AP but will call district supervisors if a large theft as occurs. Be fast and use common sense. Cameras may be monitored and items are counted in fitting room. Safest bet is to lighting conceal. They all have door alarms and are triggered very easily.
Höbbÿ Löbbÿ - Most stores have LP. Cameras are most likely not monitored but just pretend they are. Be fast and couscous. Best to conceal in home decor and toys. Avoid fine arts and electronics.
Mïcháèl Körś/Káte Spàde/Cöáçh - Stores are small and has dedicated staff to act as LP. Merchandise is scarce and it’s easy to tell if something went missing. Will call police, prosecute, and ban. Hardest is Cöáçh. Avoid Boutiques. Safest best is outlet locations as they are cheaper and slightly bigger than normal retail locations in bigger malls.
Aèröpośtale - (How are they still in business lmao) Cameras are monitored but only LP is store managers or PIC. Not known to prosecute will most likely ask for merchandise back. Conceal fast and leave. Avoid clearance sections as they are closest to checkout area. Some stores have door alarms I’ve seen some they do and some that don’t.
Vèrá Brádłeÿ - Stores are small and has dedicated staff to watch merchandise. No known LP but staff is dedicated. Will call mall security. Safest bet is to lightning conceal ID/lanyards, and small wallets. Customer to staff ratio is 2:1.
GámèStöp - Avoid mall stores. Later at night usually 1-2 people working. Cameras aren’t actively monitored and don’t record. Best to conceal fast and leave. Sometimes making a purchase will deter accusation. If you’re alone in the store with staff they will watch you.
Pètco/Pètsmart - Cameras record but aren’t actively monitored. Avoid expensive reptiles/fish isles. Won’t chase, but may prosecute or call police. That’s if you get caught but they’re usually vaping in the break room lol.
Bàth Áñd Bödy Wòrkš - Newer locations have cameras but aren’t known to record. Avoid mall stores and go for outdoor shopping centers. Will CS you do death if suspected. Best bet is to lightning conceal and leave asap.
Èárthböûñd - Newer locations have cameras. Tagging is currently unknown. Staff and store managers will act as LP. Won’t prosecute but will ask for merch back and may ban you. Avoid concealing in jewelry sections.
Spèñcèrs - Cameras aren’t actively monitored but do record. Avoid lingerie/adult toys isles. Will chase. Store managers will act as LP.
Cłaîrè’s - Newer stores have cameras. Store managers may act as LP. Won’t prosecute or chase but will ask for merch back and ban you. Best time to lïft is while they’re doing a piercing on a customer.
Máçÿ’s/Dïllīàrd’š/JĆP - Stores have dedicated LP and may have an actual police officer in the back rooms (I have first person experience and it was not pleasant.) Will chase, prosecute, and ban you via making you sign a trespass. Cameras rotate and they do case build. Will issue civil demand. If you get charged you may have to contact an attorney. They will remember you as I scoped out the location 3 weeks prior to my lïft. They remembered me.
Wàłgrèéñ’ś & ÇVŠ - Regional LP. Will get called in when a theft has occurred (but usually ORC from employees). Won’t prosecute usually but will chase or try to get a picture of your license plate. Avoid liquor isles. Inner isles without the mirrors are your safest bet.
Döłłár Gènèrâł - Cameras aren’t actively monitored but they will follow you if suspected. They do tag and have door sensors.
Döłłâr Trêé - Since they are getting more expensive merchandise some have cameras. Aren’t actively monitored but will get followed around if suspected. Easy store. Use common sense.
Any stores operating under the TJX brand. (Márshálłs TJMáxx) Have LP and cameras are actively monitored. Frequent tagging and has door sensors. Strict with fitting room. Will chase, prosecute, and ban.
This list is currently a work in progress (wip) so it may get changed overtime.
Love this Thank you!!! Teejay/MRX will also case build and try to get pics of your plates. (First hand experience)

📚 Barnes and Nob.le Tips 📚
!! disclaimer: these are what have worked for me, i say try this after a little bit of lifting experience !!
☁️ okay so, here are some tiny rules for this (and in general for lifting): ☁️
🌱 don’t get greedy
- if they see you carrying a whole bunch of books around the store, they’ll keep their eye on you. stores want to make their daily goal and depending on the location, the b&n may have more attentative employees.
🌱 grab some books you may not want
- this is best if you conceal on the floor instead of the cafe, because they might see you w/ like 4 books but suddenly 0? have like 2 you’re not gonna get and put them back where they belong and leave.
🌱 check for tags
- from the tips ive received any book that is above $40 dollars, is hardcover, or in the medical section, all have rfid tags embedded in them. do not attempt!!! for paperbacks, “read” through them. you might find a rfid sticker in there, just peel it out. you’ll find these more in manga, but always check!!
☁️ now time for blindspot and concealing tips!!: ☁️
🌱 b&n cafe
- in my opinion the best place to conceal is inside the b&n cafe, you find a table not too close to the cafe register and place your bag and books on the table. then what i do is take out my wallet (leave my bag open), head to the register and order some food, a snack, or a drink. get my receipt and go back to my table. i then put my wallet on one of the books, hold it together and put it in my purse.
- while eating you can read through the books, making sure there’s no rfids, and slowly put them in your purse or shopping bag.
- what ive done once is ask my partner or friend to call me and i fake having to rush and leave, so i stuff the books in my bag and leave while on the phone w them (do this after checking for rfids)
🌱 concealing on floor
- find your blindspots!! this is a known rule here but it bears repeating, find your blindspots!!! if you’re going to conceal in an aisle, make sure theres no cameras above you or infront of you (there’s bookshelf cameras!!)
- i like to conceal while sitting on the mini sofas because your purse is in your lap and its a quick sleight of hand to put the book in it. find a chair/sofa in a blindspot!!
- and i see teens do this a lot, sit on the floor in the aisles and “read”, its so common to see that at b&n that some SA’s wont bat their eye
🌱 kid’s section
- this has its own part because the kids section at b&n usually doesnt have cameras, but they do have: at least one SA walking around (and the kids section isn’t exactly the biggest), and parents and kids who might be able to see you conceal. so be careful here
i haven’t lifted stationary and accessories at b&n yet so please feel free to add more to this!!! and if i missed anything or was wrong in some of these add that too!!! i hope this helps some of y’all!!! 💓💓💓
I just want to say in some locations there are RFID towers before you enter the cafe. At least that’s the way it was in my closest location. But thank you!!!
designer shoe warehouse
i have never seen anyone say anything about lifting from DSW before but imo its SO easy. all the ones in my area have an identical layout with only cameras above the registers and one above the purses (which have screamer tags on them RIP) but all the shoes are untagged. they also have some cute socks & scarves which are not tagged
the clearance section is huge and has no cams, and is partially covered by this huge opaque plastic wall that says DSW on one side and has discounted/clearance purses and wallets hanging on the other side. so what i do is i pick out the shoes i want (try them on and stuff like a regular shopper), look around the rest of the section (again, like a regular shopper), then go like im gonna look at clearance shoes
then i crouch in the clearance section, pretending to look at shoes on a bottom rack, and move the shoes i want into my purse and replace them w a pair of clearance shoes in a similar size/style just so the weight of the box isnt super off, then return the boxes to their locations and leave! bam, new shoes!! a structured purse is super helpful for this since shoes are pretty big and lumpy
the SAs at my nearby stores are usually really busy so they generally leave me alone, however be careful bc they are “plainclothes”, i usually watch to see who around me doesn’t have a purse as that makes it immediately clear. they do wear lanyards and carry radios but to me its easier to see at a glance if someone has a purse or not
disclaimer: this is what works for me at my locations, i do not have any insider knowledge on DSW security or LP so please feel free to correct me if im wrong or have missed something or youve had other experiences here. also if you get caught/etc i am not responsible
Do you have any advice on how to lift shoes?
My favorite place to lift shoes is Shoe Carnival. It’s SO easy and they only have a few cameras. You can also do it at Academy, I’ve done it here too and it’s pretty easy also. DSW is pretty easy too.
The way I lift them is kinda weird. First I check to see if the shoes have any tags (usually one of the pair does). Then I check the other shoes that are the same until I find the other side that doesn’t have a tag. I then switch the shoes. By now you should be holding a box with left and right shoes that have no tags on them. Then I usually take the box of shoes that I want and find a good blind spot. There is usually one in the clearance section at Shoe Carnival and DSW. I check to see if there are any people and I slip the shoes into my bag. I then put the box top back on and put the box somewhere in the clearance area. You just have to find your own way of doing this. Know your store! If anything feels off, drop everything and leave! Hope I was helpful!
I felt like giving back to the community today and I’ve seen a few questions about Payless and lifting shoes in general. Payless is a good place to start out because it is typically very minimal security, plus it’ll give you a way to perfect your shoe lfting technique.
This is so perfect, next time I write a tips post I need to do it like this.

Any tips on lifting shoes?
All the shoes I’ve lifted were from three different Famous Footwears lol. They have the benches between the shelves instead of in the middle of the store, if you get what I mean? And only if there are no cameras. I get a few boxes, bring them to the bench, try shit on, shove a pair in my purse, then put the boxes back. And usually try to put them under a few other boxes. It’s better if no one sees what you’ve tried, of course, but sometimes bullshitting with the employees makes me more confident. I’ve literally never gone back to any Famous Footwear that I’ve lifted from, but I’m probably just being paranoid. That’s the only store I’ve taken shoes from, so I hope this helps u!
Haul name: ‘me: dont get greedy. ALSO ME:…“
This was all in one day, better not fucking sleep on this shit bitches. This is like half of the stuff
You lifted a fucking piano..?
Alright guys here is another cup method that is just about fool-proof. Now there’s nothing necessarily wrong with the original cup method of making the incision at the bottom of the cup other than that you’ll have to constantly hold it from the bottom which is unnatural. Hardly anyone actually holds their cups that way and can easily be sus. By making the cut on the side of the cup, you can hold your cup normally and even lift it up in case anyone gets sus, and since there’s no cuts, it’s as if the makeup is just disappearing into thin air. All you have to do is with an x-acto knife, make either a hole or an X cut which will be covered by the sleeve, all you have to do is move the sleeve slightly upwards or downwards to conceal. I hope this method works great for you and please let me know if you used it! I’d love to see your hauls
