Turning Over (at Foster Falls)

Yoga doesn't have to be big; I don't have to prove something to myself; I don't have to be best in class. It can be simple. Just five minutes maybe. This morning I felt frustrated. Nothing really; just tired and cranky. I felt I needed to be alone. I went into my room, unrolled my mat and curled up in child's pose. Child's pose turned into a warrior pose; a warrior pose turned into lying down, hugging my knees to my chest. I'm not sure where I was but I thought about my mom. I thought about my position in the world; I'm so grateful to be alive. With my legs up the wall, I drifted into a lucid dream...woke up and rolled back into my day. I didn't need my practice to be anything, it just was. I forgot about my bubbling frustration and I feel better now.
