ㅤ a detour to her station stalls in front of a house floating with lampent who groan about their hunger. their mourning. it's unusual to see so many of them in one spot, especially together... whatever goes on in that house attracts a lot of activity. silene plays with the piercing in her mouth, attention falling to the woman exiting her house. silene keeps her head down. "good evening." she doesn't dare pick it up to gawk further at... the hole in her face. something darker's afoot that she doesn't have much time to spare for on her way...

ㅤ alola's out of her temperature— comfort zone, but she's here anyways. teaspoon shakes his winter coat out any chance he's outside his pokéball, shedding all over the streets... silene's not much better. but papa seems to like it... "excuse me," a question directs to someone standing nearby her at the pokémon center bar, "is it always this hot in alola, or is today especially warm?"

ㅤ it's a silent gesture. two potions & a paralyze heal extend the stranger's way. dressed in ripped jeans & a sweater in daylight, it's hard to tell this gesture would be from a nurse. "the wild zone pokémon are ruthless." they're pent up, they're anxious. "best take care of your's, too."

close your eyes and imagine someone with the cutest face, a gruff voice, lots of body hair, dark eyes...

silene's beginnings as a pokémon nurse begin as a form of worship to creatures who have given so much to shape the world as she knows it. to give back to pokémon is to acknowledge their strength is far more powerful than that of humans. but her role as a human nurse... that's out of pity. humans ought to know better than to get to close to the edge or to try something for "fun" when it will get them hurt. there's a tension in her jaw when people come to her with preventable injuries.

she's a lot less lenient with people than she is with pokémon, but she still goes out of her way to check her roommates' cuts and scrapes, give them some pills and a glass of water for their headaches and cramps. sit by someone's bedside on her shift if they look like they could use some company. not every injury is because of stupidity, sometimes things happen without reason. it puts silene in a position where others look up to her. she'll get them to a point where they'll be equals again.

when does silene realize she loves you?

when you tend to someone's wounds ⸻ When the person is in need of a person and you're there. when your partner in crime is terribly wounded, you're there, and you're saying "I'm going to take care of you." When you help clean their room when they're too emotionally distraught to do it themselves, the moment you see them in need and take it upon yourself to see to their needs and help them how you can. It's been said that the first sign of humanity was a skeleton with a healed femur, how someone saw someone else hurt and cared for them, fed them, looked after them, for a very long time. When you see your friend hurt and you want them to feel better but it goes beyond that: you want to make them better, and you want them to know you want to get through this, together.

ㅤ off— duty, traveling, parked at the edge of a cliff looking over porto marinada, pipe between her teeth. the sunsets & teaspoon had bounded off long ago. some pokémon whisper, other grunt, a few tauros graze on the cliff below. her companion knows better than to get in their way⸻ he's fine to do as he pleases.

ㅤ boots crunch atop the dirt around her jeep, silene looks outward to find someone with teaspoon in arms... she takes the pipe out of her mouth. "did he hurt himself? or did he want to introduce us?" his leg was positioned strange... could be how he's held.

vain update: my friend is considering joining tumblr rp (has 0 experience w the site so i will be reblogging their promo 20,000 times so you can meet them!!) & they're setting up a fandomless oc so i think i will ALSO set up a blog with a fandomless oc so we're in this together. new blog on the radar SOMETIME within the next month or so!

ㅤ silene's shoulders stiffen to watch a pokémon of haxorus' size bend closer, attention trained on the blades from its maw. but intentions innocent, teaspoon shifts to sniff their nose.

ㅤ [i'm teaspoon!] he honks, shaking his fur out to imitate the other pokémon's size⸻ [what's your name? are those your fangs?] introductions establish, silene sighs tension from her nose.

ㅤ bare in mind you have staunch competition for teaspoon's number one fan. one whose bite is worse than her bark... kidding. silene can content to see teaspoon adored no matter where he ends up. all that matters in search of his home is to find glimpses of it in the people he meets.
