while sandor's identity as a clegane, the banner of his house, three hounds / three heads of a dog, reminds us of cerberus, the hound of hades and the protector of the underworld.

sandor drops his banner and assumes a new status - that of a gravedigger - while sansa becomes alayne and through rejecting the pomegranate in favor of a pear, her future and fortune becomes apparent.
Sansa chose a pear instead, and took a small delicate bite. It was very ripe. The juice ran down her chin.
What make you think that there is something "between" Sandor and Sansa?
Someone asked me what make me even feel like there is something "between" Sandor and Sansa that goes over Arya and Sandor's dynamic and that make it..romantic. So here we are, i will share all i can think of about it, for myself and everyone interested in it.
It will be long and i will probably add more:
1. Maybe it is the fact that Sansa dreamt of a daughter like Arya and in the same book, I REPEAT IN THE SAME BOOK, few chapter away someone had the impression that Arya could easily pass as Sandor's kid. If this is not foreshadow i dont know what else can be.
In Sansa's dreams, her children looked just like the brothers she had lost. Sometimes there was even a girl who looked like Arya.

3. It could be the fact that they share marriage's symbolisms from all over Westeros's traditions. Sandor not only is the last one still standing during the Hound's tournament, which often rappresent the win of the hand of lord's daughter, but he even gave his cloak to Sansa, which is traditionally part of the marriage's protocol in Westeros, and Sansa not only keep it but preserve it in her cedar chest. Sandor and Sansa are not wildlings yet one of their most intest scenes is about Sandor trying to kidnapp Sansa with a knife at her throat..as wildlings do for tradition.
"Is the Hound the champion now?" Sansa asked Ned.

This is my Christmas present for the stunning Sansan's community as a celebration of the love we all share for this couple and the love they share for each other : romantically or platonically they are each other's world.
the best thing about SanSan is that it doesn't even need to be a romantic love story to be one of GRRM's best demonstration of love and knightly devotion in those books anyway: man walked through terrific flames after being guilty of high treason to the crown just to save the only soul that doesn't see him primarily as a cruel monster and yet still accept her refusal and blame it on none but his own cruel actions. She is accused of high treason against the king, researched to be killed, potraited as enemy of the kingdom and yet all she cares about is if him now hate her.
Ah, did i mentioned that their relationship started with him ridiculoulizing her faith in true kinghts and merciful gods and then he end up crying for fail in his porpoise to be her white knight and is saved by death thanks to a priest?
And obviusly i chose this base because both couples have a story rich of marriage imaginery.
