stumbled on this thread lately. couldn’t resist putting it here because it basically summarized how i felt cxs’s mentality / psyche has functioned his whole life, since his parents’ disappeared. self-loathing that comes from his early abandonment. constantly relying on others to maintain a sense of self-worth. willing to put himself in the face of danger because he doesn’t value his own life.

it’s an unfortunate factor about him as a whole - something i always subconsciously ran with in the back of my mind. it’s why i feel each time someone in his life lies to him, or withholds important information from him, it hurts beyond belief. namely because people who lie or hide the truth, i feel he subconsciously believes it’s them taking one step out of his circle of very, very few friends / loved ones. this can either mean walking out of his life, or moving closer to the brink of death. both terrify him, because it rehashes everything he’s felt in regards to his parents.

that being said, i would love to see cxs overcome this part of him. whatever his fate turns out to be at the end of this, i hope he can at least find the closure in the places and people that caused him pain.

i have a problematic, maybe borderline toxic mindset in terms of lu guang and his character. one i know may get me some backlash, but i’m willing to take that in exchange for finally speaking my peace. i also apologize to my partner @12reset - as this will upset her the most, considering how much trust she’s put in me for all these years. to hold this back any longer is a betrayal i can’t hide anymore. but something i do stand behind regardless of what anyone thinks, and my portrayal of cxs will reflect that going forward.

i strongly believe lu guang… 😔 has skills. canon’s statement saying he doesn’t is fake and i refuse to believe it 😔
