not destined for each other after all
You all said I’ve crossed the line
And the sad fact is, I’ve lost my mind

just gonna leave this here
I’m not obligated to tell total strangers anything. That almost all my characters are panromantic, pansexual, polyamorous, and 5 inches tall tells you nothing about me, except that I think fairies should be overwhelmingly DTF.
Yeah but… Part working for working for queer acceptance and gay rights is the act of coming out. We tell our friends and families the truth and hating us becomes harder.
To be clear , not I’m not asking vulnerable people to step into harms way. There’s a pass for: kids in homophobic homes (in not from) and this goes for anybody directly dependant on homophobes; people in countries where there are severe punishments; there’s even a grace period for folks figuring things out.
But to benefit from queers, yeah you should contribute by coming out. People should pay their dues. So if you enjoy queer spaces, tell your truth. If you make money from queer community, tell your truth.
Thinking about it terms of privilege: the privileges enjoyed but current queers were paid by past queers, so keep telling the truth.
Oh, and being closeted leads to shitty treatment of lovers. Tell the truth for the people you love. It’s an oldie, but worth remembering: your silence will not save you.
man some people just cannot read huh
Listen, if straight women can make money writing m/m smut and selling it under pennames, my queer ass owes you you jack shit except jack shit. You are not entitled to a person’s story and the innermost workings of their lives because you bought their fucking book.
Straight people make money off the queer community while not being a part of it. Sit down.
Hades!Supergiant really went out of their way to say “yes, our MC is canonically bisexual and yes he fucks on the reg” and I appreciate them for it.
Café date
Battling with my desire for mlm romance and straight women's desire for mlm romance.
People raging about Check Please being “too happy” clearly either have a very specific picture of what a mlm romance looks like or are just looking for reasons to be mad because there’s queer “angst” all throughout the series, involving multiple characters, especially in the earliest chapters and arcs. “Too happy” is getting into a non-toxic relationship two-thirds of the way into the entire story and not getting killed? In a story where one character holds another character during his anxiety attacks in the dark, the same character who was in a toxic relationship and recovered from an overdose??? Are these people like “uhhhhh Jack’s body image issues and the homophobia Bitty faced aren’t real because we don’t see them in excruciating detail :/ ”.
And so what if it's too happy? Why do we have to suffer to be worth talking about?
Even LGBT people are afraid to create LGBT rep half the time because you fucking goblins critique things with LGBT rep so harshly that the second it does something that you personally don’t like it gets treated even worse than the shows that have absolutely no rep in them.
Demonizing every show that is earnestly trying to provide the rep we’ve been lacking is NOT THE WAY TO GET BETTER REP
Remember when Dream Daddy was called homophobic because a horror-themed (and non-canon, might I add) ending was found in the game’s code? Like y'all go after everything that isn’t the most saccharine, unproblematic, nothing-bad-happens-ever shit and I’m so, so sick of it. This keeps us from getting LGBT+ rep that’s actually interesting and in interesting situations! I want actual stories, but I guess you guys don’t. You just want a perfect little picture to hang on your wall.
Treating all gay people as uwu soft beans is a form of homophobia in itself, and that’s the tea. Make problematic gay characters!! Give lgbt characters flaws!! Give them interesting, non stereotypical personalities!! We’re human, and humans are flawed by nature, so treat us as such and don’t get pissed because of it.
Say. This. Louder. For. The. People. In. The. Back!
It sometimes feels like LGBTQ+ people are grasping at straws to complain about representation, to the point NO ONE WANTS TO EVEN TRY!
I was watching a reaction channel watching The Dragon Prince and the commentators were shrieking bullshit about how the show was “burying their gays” because Aanya’s queen mothers were killed!
Excuse me but what?! That is not what burying your gays is! Burying your gays is putting token queer folk in for the SOLE PURPOSE of killing them for no reason other than they are gay and gay is bad!
Yes, a lesbian couple died. But their deaths (along with scores of non-LGBTQ+ characters who died) had meaning to drive the plot! And while they were crying out about this, they ignored the Ruuthari canon ship. Ignored Amaya and Janai!
This show is easily one of the most progressive MAIN STREAM MEDIA shows out there for representation, not only for sexuality, but other “taboo” and “touchy” subjects that you don’t see often. And these two commentators where so fixated on one tiny thing that the rest seemed to just fall to the way-side.
We want accurate representation for the LGBTQ+ community. And the first step toward that is for the acceptance that being gay/ace/bi/trans/ect ect does NOT make someone immune to flaws or makes them somehow resistant to death WHEN THEY MARCH INTO BATTLE AND CHOSE TO SACRIFICE THEMSELVES! FFS the antagonist of the series went in to try to help them!
You want accurate representation? Then accept ACCURATE representation! You want LGBTQ+ characters to be treated equally in shows, then for fuck’s sake engage your brain before your gob and THINK about the situation that is playing out on screen!! Two powerful women (portrayed AS powerful women) who happen to be married, attacking a fucking dragon with the intention of distracting him… Are very likely to wind up very dead.. not because they’re gay but because it was a SUICIDE mission.
Pull your head out of your asses and realize that accuracy is NOT without fallacy!
finally finished something thts not a commission<3 i just think theyre neat
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not the one…
He wonders what Dimitri saw.
Byleth walks over to the prince, eyes blank. As he crouches down next to Dimitri, Byleth gently touches at his bangs, brushing them away from his face. The prince finally looks at Byleth.
Honestly, Byleth was afraid of what he would find in the prince’s face.
I absolutely had to draw it. I’ve been re-reading godspeed by quags1re lately, which may be my faaaaaaaavourite Fe3h fanfiction ever and I just. I want to draw so many things for it but my hand is slower than my brain. So I settled for a hug and left it as unspoilery as I could, because the reason why Dimitri is like that destroys my soul to this day. Genuinely highest of recommends, especially if you’re drawn to angst/time travel fix it/dimileth You Will Yell At This.
full offense but those “being bisexual is about loving all women and being disgusted by your attraction to men” posts is deeply offensive to queer men who have been told our attraction to men is unnatural our entire lives.
