Hi my name is Ally and my story is called House Of Horrors (beta)

There's not really a big overarching story, its more just a slice of life.

Summary:

Harvey has had.. a hard life you would say. He's your typical teen angst character. Abusive parents, a younger sister he hates. British. You know... the typical.

Well atleast he has his bestfriend Ryder. That's all he needs.

i think the issue is that i care too much about my characters to have them fuck. Which sounds really weird [and it is] but maybe its an ace thing.

or is this some sex-negative shit? I wouldn't even say I am. I'm at most neutral, but being a bit sex-repulsed probably makes it come across that way. lol.

it's not that i cant write my characters fucking at all, it's that i'm too strict on it. which i think... isn't a bad thing per se.

maybe harvder (harvey & ryder) having sex is even less likely. I thought "oh they would, but yknow... not much." and now i'm like, "are you sure??? how about NEVER!"

maybe the past sins of me writing really out of character smut still haunts me to this day.

thats why i never write smut when im horny. but then i also never seem to have good time to write it, i have to be in a very specific mood (not horny, but like, idk, there.) and i haven't been *there* in forever.

maybe it's because both my characters have issues surrounding sex and having sex doesn't make that better. and maybe even makes it worse. especially Ryder.

Writing out his sexual assault trauma, and then going thinking about him getting fucked just seems so... de-humanizing. I know, it's a fictional character, but, still. It feels like at the end of the day, the only thing his worth lies is sex.

Which isn't true, I hardly touch the smut (as I said earlier), but... I don't know. It's weird.

i know people do this, and i'm not like, ashamed or anything. but it is interesting that i've recently become sorta obsessed with a non-canon ship for my story.

Ryder x Melanie. To be fair, even if most people dislike Melanie, they still think she's hot. Including Ryder... and Harvey.

Ryder's mum used to be a boxer (not a professional one, rather underground one) between being 18 - 23 and still is a bit muscular in her 50's.

Put her son into Karate due to his early on anger issues (gotta find a way to let his anger out) and probably because he found out about her early boxing days and wanted to be like her.

She's not exactly athletic anymore (working at an office job) but she still does small workouts once in a while (dumbbells maybe)

Ryder wears his dad’s old red zip up hoodie to sleep. His dad gifted it to him when Ryder and his mum were moving away to have a piece of him even when far away.

Ryder wearing his dad’s oversized suits when he was young (6-7) because he wanted to be like his dad.

Slowly stopped wearing the suits and instead a red hoodie (similar to the one his dad gifted him) since he still missed his dad and wanted some form of connection with him since he didnt see him all that often after him and his mum moved.

You know what? Now that I think about it, Harvey also fits House too.

But specifically if Harvey had nobody in his life during his childhood but then met Ryder in his late 20's / early 30's and became friends.

... Yes, just like House and Wilson met.

House is like... a worse Harvey but also not really. Hardly..
