They don't tell you this but besides the Beloved Mutual there's also the Longterm Follower who you don't follow back but they're always in your notes and you're kind of watching them. Checking on the longterm follower's bio every so often like turning over a log. She's trans now good for her
Longterm followers I am putting fresh leaves and hrt in your enclosure

my abbyjinu hell scape
I think about this like once a day
"if you actually like x character then why do you ship them with y" "if you like x character why do make them experience q" my brother in Christ, it's not anyone else's responsibility to explain creativity and whimsy or curiosity about dynamics or themes to you. it's not anyone else's fault you're completely incapable of seeing past canon text or treating it like a guideline for your own fun and instead treat it like a bible you have a blood pact with. like your creative bankruptcy is simply your problem!! other people's fun is not a math equation you need the answer to, babes!
it's also unfortunately really funny that Henry chose to write his "Freddy's is Murder" flyers in that font specifically. like I'm sorry for your loss sir but you thought people were going to take you seriously while you're writing in fucking Permanent Marker font?
this is the medium you chose to carry your message?
my own tags made me laugh
Hey! So you mentioned in a comment yesterday that Rumi and Jinu lend themselves to OCD headcanons really well. I'm totally on board with Rumi having OCD, you can rip my "Rumi has moral OCD" headcanon from my cold, dead hands. Granted, I often headcanon "perfectionist" characters as having some type of OCD lol, gotta find (unintentional) OCD representation somewhere.
But what about Jinu? I said yesterday that I can see him post-canon/alive as having hoarding OCD, but are there other ways that you think he exhibits OCD/could be interpreted as having OCD/is OCD-coded? You're the first person I've seen in the fandom who also sees possibilities with OCD with the movie's characters (maybe partially because OCD is heavily misunderstood, but man if patterns aren't a great metaphor, visualization, and representation of intrusive thoughts), so I'd love to hear your thoughts about OCD and Jinu, or really, anyone in the movie, if you have any.
I mean...
(from here)
In the movie, Jinu's kind of got the "obsessive" part down pat, courtesy of Gwi-Ma's torture. Obviously it doesn't present itself as OCD, really, but Jinu is so preoccupied with these negative thoughts and fears--stuff like "I'm a bad person because I did [x thing]" and "no one will ever love me if they truly know me" and etc. that he shapes his entire life around them. Dealing with these obsessive thoughts are his core motivation throughout the entire movie. And that makes me think that it'd be pretty easy for him to develop (or have?) OCD, because he's kinda already halfway there. He doesn't have any solid, super notable compulsions (that I can think of off the top of my head, anyway), but, I mean, yeah. I just think it matches with his personality and mental state. It feels very natural to imagine that he might have/develop OCD in some way or form. That's why I called him a classic character to give OCD to :)
I tend to headcanon Rumi as having body dysmorphia centered around her patterns, which is technically classified as a form of OCD. Though, I mean, is it a headcanon if she really fits the bill so well? She's organized her life around covering up and getting rid of a perceived bodily flaw, to the point where it severely impacts her quality of life and causes her undue mental distress. That's body dysmorphia, lol.
Tbh, it's surprising that the fandom hasn't done more with these characters and OCD headcanons... but I guess it's because neurodivergence headcanons in fandom don't tend to stray much outside the bounds of autism/adhd/depression/anxiety. Which is too bad. Nothing against those headcanons, of course, but people are missing out. Especially for a movie like kpdh, where OCD (like you say) fits so well with the central themes and plot devices of the movie.
Every once in a while I've seen the sentiment like "I can't believe I'm still blocked by [person] for [thing that happened forever ago]" and I dunno, I kind of operate under the assumption that most people don't revisit their blocklists. Least of all to pass through it and judge which accounts are now unblock-worthy.
Like if you found me slightly annoying once in 2016 I simply assume I'm blocked forever.
I feel like a lot of people fundamentally do not grasp the point of a block list. They think it’s a burn book or something??? Like they think you actively hold a grudge against the people on it????? When in reality, a block list is a list of forgetting. The whole point is to not think about what’s on it.
mhhmmm yea
I just ate one

WE GOT A NEW DISHWASHER
What other fandoms are you apart of besides KPDH? I love your work on that, curious if we have other overlap
Uhhh, off the top of my head? The spiderverse movies are a big one, in terms of "I actually have meta written about that on my blog" (you can look in the #spiderverse tag to find that). Pretty much every other fandom I'm in, I haven't written a ton of meta for, because I only really started sharing my thoughts online in like... 2023? When ATSV came out. There's probably also some TMNT stuff on this blog as well, mainly Rise of the TMNT, which would be under #rottmnt. But there's not as much, for sure. I also like TMNT 2012, but I've only watched the first season. And I lowkey wanna keep it that way because I've heard how fans talk about the later seasons. It kinda seems like it went to shit. The first season was great, though, loved it.
I mean, I've been in a ton of other fandoms through the years, but a lot of that is pretty... dormant right now, and some of them I haven't revisited for several years, although I think of them fondly. Percy Jackson is like that (I liked the Magnus Chase series especially, actually. Love Magnus Chase). The IT movies. Uhhm, She-Ra PoP, I watched that when it was coming out. The details are hazy now, unfortunately, but I always adored Catra as a character. I remember episode nine of the first season genuinely made me cry, which is hard for a story to do, and I've loved Catra ever since that. I also watched Voltron when it was coming out--I actually do have a bit of meta on that on this blog, come to think of it. What a shitshow, but I'm still fond of it, especially now that I'm not in the thick of it anymore. DC--I was into batfam stuff for a long time, and various related characters--like Impulse, is one. Love Bart Allen. I read the 90s Impulse, Young Justice, and Batgirl (Cass Cain run) comics, those are some of my favorites. (Love Cass Cain.) I also really liked the Young Justice TV show... the first season, anyway. Second season was okay, in that I got attached to Impulse. Third season I stopped watching halfway through because I realized it was putting me in a bad mood to watch it and I wasn't being entertained at all.
OH Five Nights At Freddy's is a big one! I'm still semi-active in that fandom, actually, in that I sporadically drop random art or one-shots or headcanons or whatever about it sometimes. It sounds weird to say about technically a horror series (even if it's "kid horror" lol), but it's such a comfort fandom to me. I'd like to keep adding oneshots to my "the fnaf in my head is really good guys" series until it becomes a real fleshed-out universe, but I'm not doing that on a set schedule or anything, just whenever the spirit moves me. So don't hold your breath at all, who knows when I'll add another story to that. Could be years. Could be months. Who knows. Writing for FNAF is a fun palate cleanser from other fanfiction, due to the nebulous nature of FNAF's storyline, so I can do what I want. I like to make them more literary-style for that reason, and use those one-shots to practice my prose.
Uhh, I was really into the Carmen Sandiego Netflix series when it was coming out. I still have a soft spot for it. Every once in a blue moon (usually around November) I remember how much I love Rise of the Guardians. I haven't made any content for that, but I do really love it. I don't interact with the fandom much or at all, though.
Uhh what else. The Moomins? I love Snufkin, he's my favorite character Of All Time, but I don't tend to engage with the fandom much because I really don't like the juggernaut ship.
Um, I'm super into a cartoon from 2012 called Motorcity. Love Motorcity. It's on the internet archive now, apparently, which is good, given how close it flirts with being lost media. Poor Motorcity, it deserved better. A gem taken from us too soon
I like AtLA a lot, but I wouldn't really consider myself "in the fandom," since I don't interact with the fandom at all.
There's probably a lot more than that, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
really though I do think Rumi has been swimming before. with Mira and Zoey, even. rash guards exist, and Korean beauty standards praise pale skin--to the point where a lot of kpop idols go to pretty solid lengths to avoid getting a tan. like, staying out of the sun and taking vitamin D pills instead. wearing a rash guard while going swimming probably wouldn't even be notable, because she could easily brush it off as her avoiding getting a tan. tbh it's kind of one of the only activities where she could wear a turtleneck silhouette in summer and not get questioned about it
