Heyo! My name's Atlas (it/he) and this is my new blog.

I've been feeling particularly connected to some of my kin identities, in a way that's starting to feel way too separate from any headmate ongoings, so I felt the need to make this as a way to explore that part of myself and understand it better.

Yes, I am a system, but that will not be relevant here as I will be speaking exclusively as my collective identity. If we start referring to ourselves individually, that kinda defeats the whole point, doesn't it?

Since you also kin Hamilton, I was wondering if you feel any connection to historical Alexander at all? Personally I am fully and solely the musical character.

Actually, yes! I wouldn’t say it’s “reincarnation” or anything. My kin is 100% the musical, but as a Hamilton kin, I relate to historical Alexander Hamilton quite a bit — especially since his story has inspired me and, by mistake, my father.

Ooh! That makes sense. The only historical parts I relate to are whatever already aligns with the musical anyways.

And I do get what you mean about it being inspiring! That's part of why I feel such a strong emotional connection to it as well.

What's your process for kinfirming? I personally have a set of questions which I even made a post on my blog about :>

Good question!!

Usually I ask myself a few questions

- Do I feel like this character physically, because they’re relatable, psychologically, or like I used to be them?

- Do I have ANY memories of being this character? If so, what are they? Are they in canon?

I wish I could be of more help but I’m just making up a process at this point; I sit with the question for a while (anywhere from a few days to a few months. it took me like, two years to kinfirm Cardan and like two seconds to kinfirm Rudy Steiner). If it feels right, and the feeling isn’t going away, I usually know.
