Kokichi made an elaborate pranks where he made a lottery with panta merch and the only way you could check was with an Qr code, the first thing you would see was a rick roll.
Hi! I wonder why Hanako is the 'boss' of the mysteries. He's not the oldest, I don't think it has nothing to do with how powerful they are since no one can beat them up in their boundary so why? Thank you for your answer
I’ve been wondering about this as well!! Maybe if we go off what Kou said:
That it took all of his Grandma’s strength to seal Hanako, maybe Hanako truly was very power and menacing at a point, that led to him becoming the leader?
And in the 4 PM book arc:
No. 5 says “I wouldn’t dream of it” when Hanako asks No.5 if he’ll fight Hanako if Nene and Kou don’t reveal their secrets. So maybe Hanako really is super powerful? And earned his place as leader?
I like to think that they he came as close as he could to beat them without actually beating them.
Most of these aren’t accurate to their canon drawing skills, since Butters is the only one that I remember drawing something on the show.
PS: Clyde’s was drawn with my non-dominant hand.

I am dead serious: If you are a Walmart employee, at any level and in any store — like if you are a high school kid with a part time job stocking shelves — message me any question you have about unions. Like ask me “What’s a union” if you want. I will explain it to you. I am a grievance chair for a white collar union whose workplace only unionized within the last five years and whose management fought as every step of the way, but in the end we fucking won. It can be done, and I can tell you how.
Rb to kill wal mart
Unionizing is our wet dream I promise you.
I like how it’s described as a union could “cripple American Capitalism” when more precisely it’s just that a union would be so powerful as to force WalMart (or any other company) to pay their workers like human beings. That’s not going to break Walmart. They’ll barely notice.
They’ve successfully convinced us that the unions are the greedy monsters. For so many years, the companies have painted unions as “we want you to pay janitors three million dollars a year and if you don’t we’ll set your stores on fire”.
But it’s more like “We want you to take an almost imperceptible fraction of your bountiful profits and use it to make your employees’ live marginally better, and maybe give them medical benefits, y’know, so they don’t die”.
Big companies did not stop hiring ten year olds to work in coal mines because they just woke up one day and said “my god, we’re monsters”. They did it because their workers stood together and said “really, enough of this crap”.
Companies are not going to give people raises unless it’s economically necessary that they do so. Anything they can do to lower their expenses, and raise their profits, they are going to do. And no one person can stop them.
But thousands of people, millions of people? Better chances.
To anyone that wants to claim it wouldn’t work:
Just another reminder that Walmart Germany was a spectacular fail because of ver.di (which is a national service trade union that has it’s control over almost all trade and service companies in Germany) among other things.
Like, ver.di essentially came up to the CEO of Walmart Germany and was like “Hi, welcome, we wish you the best and that we can work together well :)” and the dude was like “hahaha no” and tried to pull the american concept here so ver.di pulled out a list of all the breaches of german law that Walmart was doing (underpaying workers, trying to avoid paying health care by using part-timers, trying to be open for more than 80 hours per week, firing people on short notice without warning or exit payments, etc) and long story short, they got some massive hefty fines for it. They also set up a list of demands for the workers and organized national strikes to push them through, making the employees of 85 hypermarkets neatly stand in front of the store doors with signs, whistles and chants (and certainly not the “Wallmart! Wallmart!” chant). In the end, that plus other things caused them to bail after 9 years with a gigantic loss (almost a billion just from sales) from one of the best retail markets in the world.
So all those issues like “no healthcare” or “work full-time and need food stamps” or “work on sundays and holidays” and shit? Unions are there to set their foot down against that for you. They are there to keep you safe from the corps wrath while fighting for your rights.
Cause if you, an individual, complain, they just fire you and laugh about it. A union is a collection of hundreds up to MILLIONS of people, supported by lawyers, going against employers for you.
In Denmark, due to union negotiations & refusal to work for slave wages, the McDonald’s basic pay comes out to about $20 US / Hour. The big mac there costs about 60 cents more.
Hello lunch club fandom! This was like the first thing that came to mind when they changed their name.
Even more theories
Hello! So a few weeks ago, one of the readers here was nice enough to send me this direct message with a super extensive theory written out, and since she wasn’t interested in posting it herself, I said I would organize it a bit and post it for discussion. Here is that theory! (Sorry it took so long for me to post.) All ideas courtesy of @hollymlee9213. She’s the anon that posted sent a theory regarding Nene possibly being the 8th School Mystery and an incarnation of the Hanako legend. These are mostly her words, just slightly edited for clarity by me.
———————————————-
Given Aidairo sensei’s naming trend of using numerical kanji in character names, it’s very plausible that Yashiro is somehow related to (or is going to be) the 8th School Mystery. Her last name “Yashiro” contains the kanji “八” (which means eight), and “尋” (which means search.) This could possibly imply that Nene is looking for truth (such as the truth behind the Mysteries of the school.)
Another interesting angle is that Hanako’s real name does not contain a number. Despite being the most powerful entity/leader of mysteries,“Yugi Amane” (柚木普) has nothing to do with the number seven. The literal meaning of his given name is “normal” or “average”. The word choice here could hint at the possibility that Yugi might not be the real/permanent Hanako.
**Translator Honya here, I’d also just like add some fuel to this flame by pointing out that we do in fact have a different character with the number seven in her name: Nanamine Sakura (七峰 桜). Ok bye.**
The idea that there are multiple Hanakos comes from the original three pilot chapters that were published before the manga was serialized. There was a scene where Hanako mentions to a confused Nene that there had been multiple Hanakos before him that failed their jobs. There are two silhouettes that in the panel appear to be girls wearing traditional female uniforms.
While those chapters are presumably not canon anymore, it leaves the feeling that “Hanako” was designed to be a transferable position, passed down from generations of girl ghosts.
Yugi being a boy makes me guess that he’s somehow an anomaly in the system. (I’m going to refer to Hanako strictly as Yugi from this point on to avoid confusion with the “Hanako” ghost position.)
~
Another important aspect of the story is time travel. From the recent chapters, we know that Nene has traveled back in time to the past via a dream, and successfully made contact with the young Yugi. We see Yugi using Nene’s collected charms (tags) to make a wish to see her again. That wish is the key to this theory. Due to the drastic difference in time periods, there are two options presented here.
Option 1 The only way for Yugi to fulfill his wish and remain human is to naturally grow old. He would somehow meet young Nene by chance as an adult. However, Aida-sensei has subtly shown this possibility to not have happened. During the library arc, Tsuchigomori stated that the future where Yugi grows old and becomes a science teacher was rewritten. I’m assuming that as a human science teacher, human Yugi wouldn’t have met Nene at all (also I’m not exactly sure about how many years Nene/Yugi are apart, so it’s also possible that Yugi would die of old age before Nene is even born) ***Honya here again to point out that Yugi was likely born sometime in the late 1950′s, and if we assume this story takes place in or around the present day, he would likely still be able to be her teacher (he’d be about 60 as of present day) Just in case anyone was wondering about the math. Ok bye again***
Option 2 Due to his wish, fate was deliberately rewritten so that Yugi would become “Hanako” and meet Nene as an ageless ghost. Thus, Yugi’s wish made his death and his murder of Tsukasa inevitable. (Honya here: He had to die, and also had to have reason to stay around as a ghost.) It’s also implied by the scars on Yugi’s arms in the flashback scene that he was either self-harming or abused (more likely abused). I think his family life probably wasn’t very happy. Maybe I’m just reading too much into it, but the young Yugi at the festival seemed very happy/normal (absent of any scars). This gives the grim feeling that whatever abuse/misfortune Yugi suffered was caused by his wish (so that he could murder his brother, die, and become a ghost). This is all to say, if he hadn’t met future Nene as a kid and made that wish, he would have grown up happy and lived a normal life.
It’s ambiguous if the current Yugi as “Hanako” recognizes Nene as his mystery childhood crush from the festival, or if he remembers the festival encounter at all. I’m leaving that aspect of the theory open since it’s not fully explored yet. It’s possible that Yugi has forgotten the wish of meeting Nene a price/sacrifice/punishment for becoming Hanako.
Regarding Nene — it’s my theory that Nene will eventually learn Yugi’s full backstory and prevents him from becoming Hanako. Knowing about Yugi’s tragic past, Nene might travel back in time again to stop those events from happening. (She might also learn that her encounter with Yugi is the cause of all his suffering, but that seems unlikely).
However, this would then disrupt the current timeline and interfere directly with the cycle of death. We know that Nene has to die sometime in the near future. My guess is that she sacrifices herself in place of Tsukasa and Yugi for their fated deaths, thus balancing the cycle. It also fits with the “cause and effect” theme of the theory, with Nene’s time travel loop altering Yugi’s future. (Other established instances of “cause and effect” include: Kou failing to befriend Mitsuba while he was alive, Sakura/Nene being forced to pay for their wishs, the effect of rumors on ghosts)
Everything comes a price. The only way to change destiny and cancel out the imbalance created by the brothers surviving into adulthood, is for Nene to die instead and become the new Hanako. The story would then come full circle with Nene as the bathroom ghost, waiting for Yugi to appear as a human in the alternate timeline. Their second meeting would also echo the first, where (an amnesiac) Yugi hears the Hanako legend and makes a wish in the girls’ bathroom, summoning the ghost Nene.
~
Additional points: I once came across a theory on Baidu Tieba (Chinese reddit, basically) that Tsukasa is potentially Yugi’s “core object”(yorishiro). The only way to free Yugi is essentially destroying Tsukasa. **Honya here to provide this link to a post where I explained this particular theory in some more detail –> Some Tsukasa Theories**
Another theory is that Tsukasa is actually Yugi’s split personality and Yugi was actually self-harming. Yugi ultimately committed suicide b/c he was suffering from mental illnesss/abuse. Tsukasa is a manifestation of those dark thoughts, and metaphorically ending Tsukasa was Yugi’s way of escaping. I guess this also ties into the ‘Tsukasa being Yugi’s yorishiro’ theory, as Yugi needs to overcome his literal demon before moving on to the afterlife. (The person who orginally posted this based the idea off the first day of school photos, where Tsukasa’s face was scratched out. They also mentioned that Tsukasa never shows up in any of Yugi’s flashback/time travel scenes.)
———————————————-
Big thank you again to Holly for sharing all these theories!
Don’t touch the egg!
it is pretty annoying how the fandom erases shaggys flaws to make him into a uwu precious scoobie snack babie…like hes a coward that when push comes to shove isnt there to help out his friends lmao
alright, lemme school your dumbass because obviously you’ve never watched scooby doo before
shaggy rogers is a hero
yes, he canonically has anxiety issues, but when it comes down to it, he is there for his friends no matter how scared he is. he cares very deeply for his friends and he would absolutely not hesitate to put himself in danger to keep them safe
in ‘music of the vampire’ when the vampire threatens his friends, shaggy’s first response is to grab a bunch of wooden stakes to attack the vampire with
later in this same movie when he (albeit falsely) believes he’s fallen victim to the vampire curse, he runs away and gets as far away from his friends as possible so there would be no chance of him harming them or inflicting the curse on them as well
and in ‘camp scare’ when the fish monster they’re dealing with hurts scooby, shaggy’s first response was to shatter a two-by-four across its face. watch it go down here, skip to about 1:30
during the climax of ‘legend of the phantosaur’ after struggling with his anxiety for the whole movie, shaggy overcomes it for the sake of saving the lives of his friends and the villains who put them in danger in the first place
in ‘ghoul school’, without any help from fred, daphne, or velma, shaggy saves the lives of several monster kids, and in ‘reluctant werewolf’ when he’s cursed to become a werewolf, he wins back his humanity in just under two days, again without help from fred, daphne, or velma
hell, the whole plot of ‘goblin king’ was about shaggy and scooby travelling into the realm of monsters, the very things he’s afraid of mos, so he can save his friends from being turned into monsters themselves. and he does save them
and those are just the examples i could think of off the top of my head!
shaggy is as essential to the gang as everyone else is. he’s the one who repeatedly throws himself headfirst into the path of the monster of the week to lead it into fred’s traps, despite his anxiety issues, because he’s the only one fast enough not to get caught. fun fact! he’s won multiple awards in high school for gymnastics and athletics. he isn’t just all about fear and food. he’s a friendly, caring person who would do anything for his friends, and on top of all this?
he’s only seventeen. of course he’s scared, he’s just a kid.
tl;dr, shaggy rogers is more than his anxiety
canonically, shaggy and scoob have dealt with more real monsters than the entire gang.
the mystery gang tends to unmask humans. The exceptions (authentic monsters, zombies, witches, ghosts, etc) are in certain movies. some of which (Zombie Island, the Witch’s Ghost) involve the full gang. Others (Ghoul School, Reluctant Werewolf, the Boo Brothers) have Shaggy and Scoob (and Scrappy) on their own adventures.
oh hey and in ghoul school, looking for some peace and quiet, they get hired as gym teachers at a school for girls, that turns out to be a school for ghouls. Despite being terrified,
they stay, become fantastic teachers, inspire their students and lead them to victory in the volleyball champion, and then risk their lives saving the students from an evil witch and spider minions.
oh and they befriend an adult mummy, vampire, wolfman, and phantom along the way
not to mention whenever they hang with the rest of the gang, they invariably get used trap bait against their expressed wishes. but still they stick around
oh, and despite their reluctance, scoob and shaggy regularly play some of the most vital roles in the gang’s adventures, to the point the movie posters regularly feature them as the most prominent members. the rest of the gang may provide the motivation, but shaggy and scooby are the lifeblood of the show:
conclusion: Shaggy Rogers and Scoobert Doo have enormous hearts that lead them to face their greatest fears on an almost daily basis for the sake of protecting those they care about.
PROTECT AND APPRECIATE SHAGGY ROGERS
