Aloha! I have a completed manuscript that I've run thru a professional manuscript critique. In addition, I've workshopped three chapters with a writing class. As I make changes, I'd like a CP to review for feedback on what works and what doesn't. Intent is to polish the work so I can get it query-ready! It's my 1st.  One-liner: When Diggs, a physically unfit, failed student, is unwittingly signed up to run a half marathon, it pits him not only to accomplish the training and finish the race, but to save his town from extinction. I'd like to trade chapters with a CP and provide feedback on a weekly basis. What I'll do is identify what I believe is your intent for the chapter and relay whether or not I thought it was effective (and specifically show why)! I'm a mommy of two and a writer, previously working as a producer for web and video. I have a degree in journalism, but my passion is in fiction - there's more truth in novels. My first manuscript, The Lost Story, is mostly complete, with some fine tuning needed. It's about an 18-year-old girl named Dani, who travels to Cuba with her alcoholic mother, and meets a boy. The trip challenges everything she thinks she knows about her world, her mother, and her boyfriend. She must choose between him and the country she calls home. I've written several chapters of a second novel, but am still working through the plot. My goal is to write a little each day, no word counts.

Tell us about you! I worked in law firms editing and proofreading others' work for over ten years before finally deciding to write full time. I have one completed Upper YA/NA Fantasy novel and the second in that series about 90% complete. My story is pretty dark with details of abuse and has some questionable language. So if you're not into that, don't email. I'm in the query process with the first, but it doesn't hurt to have another set of eyes look it over. I could also use some help with the second. I enjoy reading most genres, and I would give my honest criticism of it. Although I'm 100% honest, I'm never mean. Just shoot me an email, and we'll sample a chapter and see if we're a good fit. I'm always in the mood for a good story. Oh, and I'm in the U.S.

Tell us about you! I'm a geek trying to prepare my first novel for publication - a zombie novel with focus on characters and bit of everything (humor, action, romance, drama). I've completed two manuscripts to date, and my current WIP is also YA C with a bit of a darker slant. It is about a high school secret society and a girl set on revenge, that turns to murder. I have my BS in Secondary Education English and am working on my MS in Mental Health Counseling. I do not yet have an agent. Ideally, I'm hoping to find a CP who is honest without being mean or brutal. I appreciate positive feedback along with constructive criticism. Some of my strengths w CP work is plot flow, and finding details that don't match up. With a degree in English, I am also decent in grammar. I hope to find someone who can also help motivate me (ie kick my ass) to keep going when I slow down with my writing lol. I have two completed manuscripts. One is a hard-to-categorize new adult urban fantasy/mythology mashup type thingy. The second is a young adult alternate history WWII fantasy. I'm working on an adult/new adult urban fantasy. I'm looking for people to evaluate the manuscripts high-level and help me just really polish them up and prepare them to send out. I don't care for crit partners who like to be harsh. Straightforward is fine, mean is not. I think a British crit partner would be a good idea for me because the two books I have completed deal with some British history and characters. I like to read just about everything except erotica, westerns, and middle grade/kids' books. I like funny things a lot. I'm comfortable doing line edits or big character/plot commentary, whatever you need. I don't have a lot of patience for poor spellers or bad grammar (thanks, grad school! urgh). But I have been a proofreader before so if you need that, I can do it. I am 30-something, married, I have twins, and four ferrets. I have a master's degree in literature and an bachelor's in english and theater. Besides writing and reading, I like ballroom dancing, walking around outside, watching movies, gardening, travel, and crafts.

I am a 24 yo working as a contract archaeologist and nursing assistant in New England. My main WIP is a 6-book High Fantasy series, though I dabble in Sci-fi. The first two of my series are finished -- I am in the middle of the query process, but am taking a break to continue the polishing process. Tell us about you! I'm a big fan of anime', video games (Nintendo and Sony are my preferred platforms), Dungeons & Dragons, cartoons, and comedy. I'm very easy-going, but take my projects seriously. Besides writing in its many forms, I make board/card strategy games and I act. (It's been a while since I had a paid acting job though.) I'm also a big fan of fun music that tackles different subject matter than pop radio, or has a unique way of looking at those topics. Hi there! I'm an aspiring historical romance novelist from the midwest. I am currently writing my first historical romance set in early 1920. I plan to write across many different eras, with major emphasis on Victorian/Edwardian/WWI/Early 20s time periods.  I graduated from college in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education with a Minor Concentration area in English. I have been writing stories with romantic elements my whole life. I unashamedly consider myself a grammar snob. For my love affair with adjectives and adverbs I give no apologies.  I write with a very lyrical, descriptive style reminiscent of Candice Proctor.
