Today is the 141st anniversary of the Tay Bridge disaster, where 72 people lost their lives in the silvery Tay.
During lockdown I did a wee course with the Open University on the Tay Bridge disaster, I’ve always felt drawn to the railway bridge and it’s history! It’s my favourite ‘place’ in the city.
There's a lot of mystery surrounding the disaster, so little information was recorded at the time of its construction and a lot of evidence, samples etc. from the original trial have since gone missing...
