                         this couldn’t be happening to him. he was going home. he had completed his physical therapy. leo had beat the illness inside of him. but all the hope inside of his body was ripped away at the announcement of news. the boy made no attempt this time around to hide the sadness that boil inside of him. he’s sitting in the hospital library in a corner. dark eyes stare out into the bright blue sky as the feelings of helplessness wash over him. his only thought: I’M GOING TO DIE IN HERE.

              he’s gentle with her arm as he drags a wipe soaked in alcohol across the wound. baby hadn’t meant to hurt her but things would be worse if they didn’t try their best. she thanks him & his features fall into a frown. how could she thank him when he had inflicted the wound in the first place ?? baby almost flinches as she traces the fresh bruise on his cheek but stops before jerking away.  ‘  it’s fine.  ‘ whether he’s talking about their training or the bruise, he really wasn’t sure.  ‘  i don’t know why we have to keep doing this. he knows we can fight.  ‘

                           he knows who she is & what she’s capable of. she might not believe him but despite the song filling his ears, baby had heard every word of doc’s plan for them. he even hid the confusion when doc informed them that it would be just the two of them. the least there had ever been had been three. baby is driving to her the location, earphones in with the sound of BRIGHTON ROCK blaring into his ears. attention is only briefly drawn to the girl sitting in the passenger’s seat when she speaks. brow arches slightly over shade covered eyes.  ‘  yeah. baby.  ‘  baby doesn’t mean to be short with her but they were only here for a JOB, right ?? plus, his focus remained on the PLAN. things had to go perfectly like every time before. one wrong move & they’d have to call it off. baby was so close to being done with driving that he couldn’t let this go wrong.
