Let me tell you, watching HTTYD 3 in IMAX and seeing Ruffnut sprawl across a table, taking up the entire screen, while wearing a metal bra and drinking from a mug of whatever? A transformative experience.

Thank you for giving me the best years of my life in this franchise. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, analysis, spazzing, speculation, and absolute and utter love for Hiccup and Toothless over these long years. My heart came alive in 2012 (when I saw the first film) and today I see the end to the story that defined my life ever since.
Thank you my gorgeous, wonderful Hiccup Haddock the Third. You are the most perfect person in my eyes and you will be my Hero forever. Thank you for your heart, your soul, your endless and fierce conviction. Thank you for putting down your defenses and opening your heart to a dragon the entire world said was dangerous. Without your sarcasm and your love, I would not be who I am today. I will love you forever.
Thank you, Toothless, for being everything my sister loved, for being fierce and powerful and dangerous and mysterious––and above all, loyal and compassionate and caring. You are a part of Hiccup, the way my sister is a part of me. You are the Other, strange and wonderful, but you are also the Friend, fierce in your love and your protection. You wanted to need Hiccup, down to the deepest part of your being, and for that, I will always love you. For you are an example of true love, true devotion.
There’s only a couple hours left for me to live in anticipation. I am sad but excited. LONG LIVE DRAGONS. A HERO IS FOREVER.

The DreamWorks Dragons Universe
I love how Dreamworks really dedicates to telling a story with HTTYD, not just making another movie for the sake of a cash grab. They’re telling the story of a boy named Hiccup, who found his place in the world by a chance encounter with a dragon that became his best friend, and who helped him grow into the great man (and chief) he is now. Each movie hasn’t just presented an obstacle for Hiccup to overcome, they’ve all helped him learn and grow in some way. To become confident and accept himself the unique way he is. To prepare for the daunting task of leading his people. And now it seems, to know that sometimes what’s best for others is having to let them go, even when its painful, but also that goodbye doesn’t always mean ‘forever’.
And i think that’s why the How To Train Your Dragon trilogy is my absolute favorite. Thank you for coming to my ted talk
I saw some pics of HTTYD 3 and just had Hiccup feels :3 i know he’s not that old in the new movie as i made him, but oh well bearded Hiccup with a bit of wrinkles sounds too good not to draw *U*
4 years ago was the premiere for HTTYD2!
The best part was going up in front of the theatre and yelling “ARE YOU READY FOR DRAGONS?!”
