her eyes rise then, an arch to her brow as she watches him in silence. regina can see the distaste in his eyes, the way her call has offended him and though she is not one for apologies, one lies on the tip of her tongue. she swallows it though, choosing instead to simply exhale a sigh. ❛ – – – i don’t recall accusing you of anything, wolf. ❜ her ire is evident in the tone of her voice. where as before, she had been quite content, sitting curled in to the corner of her sofa, feet tucked beneath her rear – now she is annoyed.
❛ i wanted you close, but now… ❜ pettiness and bitterness purse her lips as she lowers her hand and cools. ❛ go back to your brooding, fenrir. ❜
Tempestuous eyes gave pause in their storm, the furrow betwixt dark brows less violent, less pronounced with the simple claim. Too quick to judge, the god had assumed the worst of Regina -- a most grievous sin, where she alone stood by him and did not wish to see him killed or disappeared for the sake of continued life -- but only now was it the worst he received.
(Not the worst he had seen -- the bloody glory of hands wet with red gore, thick meat and beating heart clenched and crushed to ash and dust, all delicious and intoxicating, euphoric to the most hateful soul -- but the worst of this tamer sort. Curse the Charmings and flay their souls for deeming his queen, rightfully, a danger, forcing her vicious flames into a dimmer, restrained ember.)
A vicious snarl left wildfire lips at Regina’s slur. Fenrir was no mere wolf, useless without a pack and timid in the face of fire, but the greatest of wolves: a god among bleak-minded sheep, a terror upon the realms! Enraged thoughts howled to bite, to lash out, to rip and to tear at one who so openly reduced him to a worthless husk, but the song of the heart was quick to stem the fiery tide. Instead, teeth were bared, sharp and wet with hunger, eyes flashed with bitter rage, and the wolf spat out a coarse growl.
“I ain’t no borin’ fuckin’ wolf, Your Majesty.” Fenrir snarled, low and burning in his maw. “I’m the fuckin’ God Wolf, and I’m fuckin’ sick of playin' to those snúningslaus þörmum minna fjandinn strákur straumar!”
