Here's a bit of a selection of Izumicon pictures, you can see the rest on my main blog @nunquius For my first time being at Izumicon, I think it's safe to say I had a blast. There was always a place to hang out, the atmosphere was friendly, the vendors were REALLY COOL, and honestly just having a place to be with my friends and to make new friends was amazing. My only complaint is the lack of food choices, but meh, what can you do? I look forward to attending Izumicon next year, too.

Con Story #1

My First Con The first convention I went to was a sort of last minute thing. I looked up conventions and found a cheap one just a state over, near a relative's house. I wasn't involved in any of my current major fandoms, but I wanted to cosplay to my first con. I got together an overnight cosplay of BBC Sherlock. I wasn't all too recognizable, though, with long and curly red hair. But nonetheless I was wowed just by the existence of cons. I didn't know who any of the guests were or what the cosplayers were cosplaying from but seeing so many cool things and going to panels for beginning cosplayers kept my interest enough. Without that first con, which I still faithfully attend annually, I wouldn't have started going to other conventions and I sure as hell wouldn't be in the fandoms I'm in.

Okay so here’s a list of things I wanna do

1) I wanna post con stories, not just my own, also submitted stories

2) I wanna try to give cosplay advice

3) I wanna show my own progress as a cosplayer and congoer

4) I want to renew faith in humanity

5) I want to encourage more people to cosplay

So, with these desires, I’ve set out to make this blog. Let’s see how this goes, fellas.
