I used to pass by Playboys hood every day. It’s been forever but In the 90s if you drove down Pico or Venice between LaBrea and Downtown, you’d pass a different hood every few blocks (Easy Riders, Drifters, MCS, Burlington…). Pico just past Normandie, PBS had one of the smaller territories, but it always stood out the most. It was heavily populated with higher buildings literally covered in graffiti. Two story PBS blocks were pretty common. Definitely one of the most claustrophobic hoods i’ve ever seen
