zach werenski and dante fabbro on his first game after getting claimed off waivers:
zach: "i always joke with him, his first game in seattle. um you know, play a lot of minutes, and I know he wasn’t playing for a while. he looked at me like the second or third shift, and he’s like, 'man my legs hurt.' and i’m like, i looked over i'm like 'he’s not gonna make it.' um so, i’m always joking with him about that ‘cause, honestly, look how far we’ve come and um, you know, obviously he’s such a great player and i love playing with him, and hopefully he’s here for a long time."
dante: "true, i actually turned to him i said 'i don’t think i'm going to make it.' that was about three shifts in. […] yeah, i mean other than that first game, um, yeah i think we just, throughout the course of the year, and um from when i kind of joined the team, um, i just like, i feel like z’s a pretty, pretty easy guy to play with."
