If you want to know what's up in Argentina:
We had mass mobilizations yesterday. Football fan groups joined retirees for their weekly protest against Milei’s pension cuts, which have plunged the elderly into poverty. The goverment decided to put on a mass police operation that actively shot ELDERLY PEOPLE, JOURNALISTS and illegally detained 200 people without stating motive, time, hour, even name, including a 12 year old boy who was just passing by.
In the meantime, Congress ilegally stopped a session that was going to strip operative powers from the president as soon as quorum was met due to ''a disagreement''. The president of Congress, Martin Menem, simply left and stopped the session that should have happened.
Today, the Security Minister justified yesterday's events and said she was going to intervene with the judge that contradicted the detentions since ''they were terrorists''.
A journalist was shot in the head by the police, which she justified claiming he was ''an activist'. He's currently fighting for his life. An 87 year old woman has head traumatism due to being shoved by a policeman.
Below are videos from yesterday - you can see the police aiming the guns at old women, people being rounded up and the journalist getting shot.
