yknow vegeta actually doesn’t hate goku - he’s never hated him per se, perhaps outside of the first arc and getting his ass kicked but he rather resented and loathed what goku stood for - this wall of power he himself couldn’t scale, no matter how much hard work he put into it

he could keep up with goku but he could never!!!! be stronger than him - which vegeta takes as an insult to his pride but that resentment and loathing is what kept him going and going to try and reach the levels he couldn’t reach which is why!!!!! i think vegeta not getting ultra instinct in super is neat because it shows him growing past that resentment and striving towards his own methods of getting stronger

vegeta was actually pretty friendly towards goku in the buu saga until he remembered what emotions goku stirred up in him - vegeta never hated goku as a person, but what he symbolized, and if i may be so bold, vegeta loves goku as a person in his weird vegeta way

Can we just talk about this? While everyone was voicing out their concern or criticism, Vegeta never wavered. He never once doubted Goku. I just love the relationship between these two.
