Saw someone say Steven is "somehow an amab guy with transmasc coding" and amab transmascs are generally intersex irl so it got me thinking - Steven having a gem would make him intersex.

Gems aren't associated with human males medically speaking and are instead associated entirely with beings who are always feminine-coded with she/her pronouns. So Steven Universe is, by definition, intersex. Having a gem as a human male is intersex. I know they tried giving rep with Stevonnie being canonically intersex, but Steven was always there and sometimes being intersex isn't a direct mix of sexes, but a trait or two. He's intersex.

Entry for @glowweek day 1!

I'm a huge fan of EDM, so when i saw the prompt "Glow" i couldn't help but think of the amazing glowing from blacklight, UV paint, and of course the glow bracelets that are at these shows!

I took inspiration from the scene of Steven and Connie dancing at Sour Cream's party in the episode "Alone Together" and also some colors from clips of various Porter Robinson Dj sets.

Out of curiosity of how Steven would look with straight hair, Connie convinces him into straightening his hair. Unsurprisingly, he ends up looking like Greg from the 80s.

I was also going to draw Steven helping Connie dye parts of her hair a teal color, but I had run out of time. might make it later though :D

After Steven leaves Beach City to discover who he is without the Crystal Gems, he discovers that he enjoys helping lost and injured animals. He volunteers at several animal shelters as he travels across the country. 🐱

Being with the animals calms his anxiety as he slowly learns to interact with other humans and become a part of a society that he was deprived of as a child.💗
