a little more mlp x gf i guess
I feel like they'd be earth ponies
I thought it fits Ford to cast magic so we could replace some of his weapons and enchantments with spells in an AU, and Stan needed to look alike! I DEFINITELY thought of Fiddleford as an earth pony though, I should make his design as well
Some guitarspear headcanons I have!
The unresolved tension between you and the hallucination of your murdered crush
They're like... A family or something... toxic edition...
Their interactions are just that scene from antman to me
Am I the only one who wonders why Adam and Abel's arms are black and -seemingly- clawed? I can't imagine them using long gloves.
Honestly I thought it was PROBABLY a product of thoughtless design choices (as is frequent from Vivziepop) and to cause the reveal of Adam's appearance to be more shocking, and Abel's are like that to look like his dad, but I like to headcanon that they are angels with bird traits, so their arms and legs would be another color and be clawed to imitate a bird's legs.
I do wonder if it's intentional that they make me think of birds because of the way they fold their wings and, well, look at that:
There's no way they didn't intend to make Adam frequently move and look like a bird (I know this is Lute's hallucination but there's tons of examples of this).
If they ARE a bit of a bird kind of angel, I wonder why.
Anyway I've been trying to design them naked, I'll probably give them a little bird tail too, but i gotta go through some versions.
I just can't get over Abel's line "too bad that I'm not your bravest son", like, he still looks up to his older brother who MURDERED HIM?? Oh boy it made me feel so bad but it also seems so accurate to people like Abel, insecure and innocent and always craving approval from their family in their childhood. I CANNOT wait for next season, something tells me we'll get to meet Cain and I am drooling
Abel Parade day 2: death
I find it so odd when I watch people reacting to Hazbin Hotel and when they reveal Lute's crush on Adam, the first thing they say is "higher your standards", "you could do better", "what do you see in him?", etc. As if Lute didn't deserve someone as terrible as Adam lol. Lute is as bad if not worse than him (I personally think she's worse in a way, but at the very least she's waay crazier, completely nuts, as has been shown), but somehow she deserves better? Idk if it's because she's a woman/hot that their first instinct is to say she should look for a better man but no one in Heaven is in the same page with her if it's not Adam.
Putting this under a read more because it was supposed to be just getting some thoughts out, but instead it turned into a longer rant... Sorry!
It is so funny to me that people are so adamant that Adam treats Lute horribly. Most of their relationship is offscreen so we don't know how he actually treats her. But seeing that she was the epitome of :) when they were just walking down the street together, I don't think he treated her too bad. And frankly, I think if he were awful to her, that she wouldn't have called him out about wanting to confront Vaggie in front of everyone. This is something he lets her do btw and his only complaint is that she shushed him lmao. I have a thought of Adam was the main reason people took Lute seriously because she was able to speak freely with him and other people would at least let her get her thoughts out in season 1, but the second Adam dies, not a single person even bothers to listen to how she's feeling until the hallucination of Adam shows up and only then is she able to get it out. The only time he was ever mean to her was when she pointed out the shield... as if he didn't see it and even it was still fairly tame for him imo.. Still not nice, but not horrible compared to some of the stuff he says to other people lmao. Now, of course, as I said; we don't know how their relationship was offscreen. So sure. He could be just as horrible to her as some people expect, but imo that would be a complete disservice to her character. And to his, for that matter because they truly did seem comfortable together. Even if they're awful to most other people, even they could have found *something* together. Love on Lute's part, but we still don't know about Adam </3 And while I'm at it, I wish people would let Lute be a little pathetic. That's the most endearing part about her for me. There's a lot of "girl get up" or "he is SO not worth that crash out" but come onnnn. Her whole world is crashing down around her. I think she should be allowed to be pathetic rn.
🥺ww
some sort of old doodle with Lute and Adam
“Nifty was acting in self defense” she stabbed him in the back
“We cant afford anymore senseless death” they killed an arch angel
Everyone in heaven and hell is skirting around saying “adam deserved to die”
God Lutes crashouts are valid
Isnt not that he didnt. He prolly did. He was literally the worst. But this is the issue in a show that claims redemption is its theme. It cant acknowledge the pure evil villain deserved to die, and just implies it.
Not sure if its a writing flaw or intentional subversion tho.
Episode 3 was REALLY funny, I loved it even if Charlie was selfish there. It's fine, I don't think it's OOC since she was so excited to learn she was right, and her energy and big eyes are so fun. The huskerdust was very cute, it has tons of funny jokes, and it made me like Vox better (and his relationship with Velvette, btw shes so pretty). One of my favorites of the whole show yet.
I don't know what to think of the new episode 4. Like, it was SO, SO embarrassing, I'd say it was just too embarrassing, to the point I had trouble finishing the episode. But I did like the Rosie twist, and the way she treats him like a bestie is an interesting dynamic. It was all extremely unexpected.
Just- the whole Vox thing was just so embarrassing. A twist, a way to catch us with a low guard, yes, but doesn't mean I enjoyed it. Alastor's character has been kind of massacred since his fight with Adam. By that I mean that the image we had of him is completely shattered (not so cold headed, not so strong, not so confident). Maybe it's for the best, I know he has a plan, but he sank so low it made me uncomfortable. I just hope they'll let him recover some dignity.
Haven't really liked Alastor's character since the pilot though (I simply liked his personality there much better) and this isn't really helping. I just don't know what to think of him. He's powerful, but such a fraud.
On another side, Adam is my favorite character and I wanted him to leave a big mark. You'll understand I'm very very happy that he did on a main character like Alastor, and the whole Lute arc. That's what I liked most of this season for now.
Lute's hallucination of Adam is simultaneously incredibly tragic and also the funniest thing to me. His characterization doesn't even feel slightly off. Like Lute didn't even idealize him at all, she just looked at this misogynistic asshole of an angel with a side of genocidal mania and said "would"
That last part is true but I do think her view of him is off. I think he would be way more hurt about everything (I believe this because of how hurt he seemed by Sera's disapproval after You Didn't Know) and of course he'd want to burn them all but he isn't as chill as Lute thought, I don't even believe he'd be so indifferent about Lute's feelings (just how much she cared) given the sweet smile he gave her at last. It's almost like everything she really knew him as was his enjoyments (often of a sadistic nature) and his sarcasm. So I do think she idealized him in a way, by believing he's so cool about everything.
Of course the hallucination only really exists to enable her revenge. She needs Adam telling her what she can do because that's all she knew.
my favorite flavor of guitarspear is one that is kinda one sided. like i do believe adam liked lute. liked having her around to do his bidding and laugh at his jokes and even just keep him company in general. hell, i think he'd even have fucked her if she'd asked. but he did not feel a tenth of the obsession and devotion that she did. if lute had died, adam's life would be worse, for sure, and he'd be sad (maybe more than he'd expect) and angry and vengeful. but when adam died, lute felt like she lost her life's purpose. big difference.
