i may not know if i can do it yet, but i sure am going to try
this anxiety attack will pass.
you will breathe easily, stop feeling your heart pounding to be freed, no longer feel like you’re drowning. you will feel enough peace to remember why you’re alive.
i’m proud of you for doing one or more of the following:
getting up out of bed
brushing your teeth and or washing up
eating
drinking some juice or water
doing a task, any little task
anything else you managed to do today!!
late night reminder to self: your depressive episode will not last forever. it will have an end. tonight will not be the end of you.
Hey guess what i saw this a few days ago when i was in an absolutely scary slump and then i spoke to my counsellors and did what they told me to do and now i feel so much better. So this is true. Reblogging for more good luck

Because the essence of humanity and life as a whole is a constellation of connections with one another. We are all here in this cosmos together, from the tiniest creatures to the distant stars.

reminders for today and every day:
you are not too much
you are not hard to love
you are allowed to have bad days
you are allowed to fall apart
you can do this
get it done the weird way. do it in parts. do it “wrong”. do it “late”. do it scared. it’s just better to do it differently than everyone else rather than never do it.
you don’t have to be in a positive mindset every day. that’s not realistic. but i hope you can find more days where the sun shines a little brighter for you.

Little things for when you’re not doing great:
peppermint tea in your favorite mug
watching your favorite tv show
reading a good book in the afternoon sunlight
enjoying the silence and natural sounds of your home
buying your favorite snacks and eating them all in one go
going to the library and checking out books on topics you’re interested in
buying a cheap bath bomb and bathing in water slightly too hot
buying a new plant
going for coffee at a local cafe
a new journal and a fresh pen
making lists of everything (especially things you love)
buying a new fruit at a fun grocer and giving it a try
used books stores
finding that perfect vintage sweater at the thrift store
petting a sleeping cat
standing in the grass, putting your face toward the clouds, and feeling the soft breeze
painting something with cheap art supplies (bonus points if it’s really bad and you frame it for the memories)
doing a load of laundry with all your favorite pieces
the first pages of your favorite book
wearing sweat pants all day
stardew valley
taking a walk around the park
knowing that there are so many thing in this world that you haven’t gotten the chance to fall in love with yet
not all friendships are meant to last forever, but every day i am thankful that ours is still lasting

You don’t need to know everything now. You don’t need to be perfect, unbelievably wise, or entirely healed right now. All you need is to just do your best. Growth and healing will come naturally with new experiences and relationships. Don’t try to rush your healing or let this goal completely consume your life. You are not an endless project for self improvement, you are a human being who will make mistakes and have new experiences and fail and try again and love a lot and laugh super hard and be a little scared of the uncertain or discouraged and kinda sad sometimes. Let yourself flourish and live— even if it means letting go a little.
You serve no one by draining yourself of all your energy, not yourself, not your friends and family and not your job/education. It takes so much longer to recharge and get well again, than if we take care of ourselves as we go. So please recharge, rest and listen to your limits and your needs. You and your well being is important. 🌸
