Yesterday, the Arcane twitter account dropped a collection of new merchandise for the season 2 anniversary. Many fans were left taken aback when there was ZERO merch for Ambessa and Mel, two main black female characters on the show. Meanwhile side characters such as Isha had dedicated merch.

Time and time again the Medardas have been barely been given the same amount of content compared to others on the show or have been left out entirely despite their own popularity. We need this to change now.

What can I do to help? 🤔

We ask that you please email Riot and voice your displeasure about this situation by filling out the support form at the bottom of their merch website here.

Tips to keep in mind when sending an email! 💭

Do NOT use swear words or offensive terms! The system might filter out anything with swear words.

As a subject use something like "Feedback on merch" or "Regarding merchandise" and so on in case they're purposely ignoring / filtering anything with Ambessa, Mel, and Medarda in the subject

Outside of emailing, are there other things I can do? ☎️

Speak up on social media: reply to their twitter post and instagram story calling out the lack of inclusion for their black female characters.

Please support any merchandise of Ambessa and Mel that does exist. There are options from Rocklove Jewelry, Displate posters, and more. Don't let Riot try to claim these black women don't sell.

If you play League, support Mel and Ambessa in the game. Help increase their pickrate, buy their skins, etc.

Happy story especially for anyone struggling in an abusive household- it really does get better!!

Today I was baking with my housemate/friend and I cracked an egg and broke it accidentally all over the counter. Honestly my heart stopped in that moment (not that I was scared of her) but sometimes fear is just a knee jerk reaction when that’s what you’ve known for most of your life. Anyways I looks up and stare at her and she just laughs. Like laughs like nothing happened! And when I made ten times more of a mess trying to clean it up she helped me and then turned to me with another egg in her hand and just said “you wanna try that again” with the biggest smile on her face.

For context this wasn’t exactly a monumental moment in our friendship. She’s the greatest human being and has done a lot more but sometimes it really is the little things that make you realise how far you’ve come!!

So please please anyone that is going through hell it does get better!! Not always at once but the little things do help and you do matter!! It doesn’t take an amazing human not to shout at you or have a negative reaction to little things. You’re a person and you matter and you deserve someone to laugh with you and help you clean up whatever mess you’ve made.

I have a question for anyone that uses a mobility aid and I really hope it’s not offensive!! But I’ve been thinking of getting a cane but my main concern is how I’ll be perceived. I’m already a really short person who gets a lot of men trying to be weird a lot of the time and I’m worried that using a mobility aid in public alone may give off the impression of “vulnerability” even more than I already do as a woman and then on top of that I’m short and black🥲 does anyone have any advice or am I being paranoid?

online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.

and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.

there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.

So I wanted to try a new app and just started reading *The Deadly Biome* on Seven hearts and this shows up in episode ONE??!? For anyone who doesn’t know this is a racism slur. Please for the love of everything if for some reason there are no black people in you writers room or team AT THE VERY LEAST do some f*cking research it’s really not hard. This is me giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming this was a mistake and not intentional… Although lacking basic knowledge is still incredibly questionable😒
