I’m grateful for this experience. On the physical level, the majestic Grand Canyon is a visual paradise. On the emotional/psychological, my recent losses are too recent and a lot of feeling pass through me as momentarily visitors and promised me more of it including my own. And what is more important, spiritually, this is a leap of faith, being present without grasping or grabbing anything that babyseat me, without escaping shame, embarrassment, sadness, hopelessness, and any other feeling coming to me at the present time. I’m going to give you a piece of my experience today. I went to the only supermarket in the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. When paying for my stuff, none of my credit cards work and all of them were denied. Guess what Hugo did? I felt ashamed, not fully known to me, and walk out of the store without my stuff accepting the fate out of “shameful” feelings. I walked to my car, and sat in it for a moment and explore my feelings. I realized that I escape those feeling very quickly out of the supermarket. Oh, silly little Hugo, you are a grown up now! You can sit with those feeling longer than two second and run out of the supermarket! I gave myself the chance to return and learn that the credit card reader was defective and was able to pay for my stuff. The spiritual/psychological thing that I once again learned, is that I should seat with my negative feeling longer that two seconds, there is something to learn out of them, if I wish to learn/live/experience/transcend. There are better choices than escaping present moment reality. (at Grand Canyon National Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CPTomVfNjHp/?utm_medium=tumblr

Fundamental asanas and some primary series. Paying attention to my mind, I observe a movement from a state of need or unsatisfactoriness to actively looking to resolve it with “something”. Shopping, sex, substances, food, party. I find humility a healing emotion that remove myself from the constant dilemma of being in the “right places” , the ego struggle “too big or too small”, and countless drama stories that “feel so real to me”. #yoga #yogapractice #mama #teextrañomamá #yogamen #yogagay (at Fort Lauderdale, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/CM9sU7RABxh/?igshid=1sea0hrp6z7lv

Sirsasana - headstand I am reading several books at the same time. One of them, by @anipemachodron “welcoming the unwelcome” she said that when we are challenge in life by the “unwelcome” we find ourselves in recurrent old ways of reacting getting unconsciously entangled with old patterns. Some for me includes resentment, and behind that many negative emotions that sometimes was not aware but made me vibrate very low in the emotional spectrum. Pema and the Buddhist tradition, and many philosophical and psychological narratives find opportunities in these challenging times. Catching myself going that route according to Pema give us the “greatest opportunity to change” . . #dolor #chauhastapronto #separation #covidnightmare #washingyoursheets #searchformeaning https://www.instagram.com/p/CLPO5jlgvRJ/?igshid=g2j7z00jlx7x

“ Garudasana is named for a divine creature. In South Asia, a garuda is a huge, mythical bird with the golden body of a man, a white face, red wings, and an eagle's beak. He is the king of the bird community, the enemy of snakes, and the friend of humans. Garuda is the vehicle of Lord Vishnu, the aspect of divinity which sustains the universe and takes birth as a man” took it from https://yogainternational.com/article/view/garudasana-eagle-pose/ (at Fort Lauderdale, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/CJOqGqZAMUR/?igshid=1h70qm0i7qsrg
