Nevin is suffering, she has two herniated disks meaning she cannot stand for long and suffers from excruciating pain.

Adham and Nevin have 4 children.

They live in the shell of what was left of their home. Almost all of their blankets are being used to try and cover the holes where the windows and doors should be.

They've a blanket for their just turned 1 year old, and 1 to share between the other 5 at night. It's so cold 🥶

I don't know what else I can do, it feels like the world has forgotten them. I cannot do it alone, we need to pull together as a community to help them get support

The very few messages I get speak of how isolated they feel. There are very few people left in their area. Their neighbours were martyred. Nevin (adham's) wife has lost all family except for 2 brothers.

Their children are struggling from the isolation and from fear of living in an area completely surrounded by destruction.

The family now sleep in 1 room due to sharing the home with 3 other families, despite it having no windows, doors and holes in the walls from bombs.

The home does not protect from the elements, with rain and the bitter cold still affecting them. Choices are being made between using blankets to keep their 1 year old warm, or to try and shelter all of them from the elements by covering the holes where the windows should be.

In order to have any blankets to sleep, they must leave the home exposed to the cold 🥶 They need help to purchase more blankets and warm clothing, and also for food.

Whilst humanity sleeps, we lay our head on the bed.

Above all else, we wish to hear no drones overhead.

That our stomachs were full, instead of empty,

That there was laughter, joy, peace and safety aplenty.

A life worth living for my children,

it's all I want, that's what I said...

But instead... will I wake tomorrow?

Or will I be dead?

Whilst humanity sleeps, water seeps onto all in a tent,

In a dark, wet, scary place.

Death in the air, its the only scent.

Our poor souls in Gaza, do you hear us when we call?

With holes in the walls, rain through gaps where bombs caused our windows to fall.

Of those with a building, no longer is it home...

The neighbouring buildings gone, we sit cold, afraid and alone.

Whilst humanity sleeps, our minds, awake and racing.

Sounds of missiles hitting the ground we will stand here pacing.

We will sit here bracing

For the soldiers there chasing.

Our doom, our demise, our death...

Whilst humanity sleeps... it's our own mortality we're facing 💔💔
