Sometime we can romanticize our loved ones. It almost feels wrong to remeber how the hurt us, how they treated us badly, how we weren't on good terms when they passed.
People tell us to move on, cherish the good times, leave the past in the past. But when someone dies, the relationship doesn't die with them. Those of us that are left behind are burdurned with the task of dealing with their death as well as the state of the relationship and how they left it when they pass.
How do you grieve for someone you are still upset with? Disappointed in and hurt by? How do you forgive someone whose apology you will never hear?
