Day 2, kickin it with mga iskolar ng bayan. Two undergrads in Education and one Law student @sijackypo. Junrei and Rexson are ‘people’s scholars’ of CTCSM, an agricultural school where me and Jacky will be visiting. They are currently doing their on-the-job-training at Mindanao Business College, a free private junior high school in Cagayan de Oro. When you are a people’s scholar, you stand with the most exploited in society: the workers in the cities, the peasants in the countryside. Your education is fully funded with the aim that upon graduation you will return to the community and serve those in most need, not the ruling elite nor merely serving your own personal ambitions.
