Keyword repost
And here it is the last post I will ever be writing for this class. I can truly say I enjoyed this class and the how I was able to open up my mind while discussing in class. Even just writing these observation posts left me in touch with myself and taught me to look at spaces with more depth than meets the eye.
I chose to write about the first one I reblogged which was almonite’s City of Bears. I picked this post because I liked the title. Haha no really it was catchy. But mostly I loved how talked about how a space can evoke emotion. Its funny because I actually didn’t realize this myself until I took this course. He turned a popular bar into a warm opening place that he felt like he belonged in. He talked about how the props and and people made it feel like a welcoming place instead of just a ‘space’. This is so relatable because places are way more than just a place for your body to occupy. He depicts that every space is a place of purpose. Anywhere you are has the ability to be an important space to you. Its how you depict the place. Places don’t have emotions, you’re the human who has emotions. You choose what kind of emotions this place can have or you.
The second post I chose to reblog was shelbyraley’s. I chose hers because I loved her personal definition of comfort. Not to mention her space happens to be my own living room as well. She was completely right about the area being the backbone to us. Like I previously stated its you who defines what kind of emotions you can evoke from a space all depends on your perspective. I love the explantation she gives to why she chose that keyword.
