Cha-An Tea House
has a selection of savory lunch and dinner sets. However, my friend and I did not come to savoy their meals but their desserts. I came in at 10pm on a saturday night and I waited 15 minutes for a table.
We first got the Chef’s Selection Dessert Sampler. It had a mini Black Sesame Crème Brûlée,mini Yukimi Zenzai (mochi ice cream with sweet, red bean porridge), Black Sesame Ice Cream, mini pieces of Sponge Cake with Cream, and Two Cookies, one in green tea, and the other in chocolate.
It was very delicious and nothing was too sweet. My top three favorites from the Dessert Sampler was the Black Sesame Crème Brûlée, Yukimi Zenzai, and Black Sesame Ice Cream.
The second dessert we got was the Homemade Mochi. The Homemade Mochi came in three flavors: green tea, black sesame, and earl grey chocolate. I liked the earl grey chocolate the most and my friend like the black sesame the most.
We paired our dessert with green tea, we ask the Japanese waitress to recommend the type of green tea that will match our desserts and she gave us a superb recommendation. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name but it was perfect paired with the sweet desserts. And every time we finished a mini pot of tea, she came and refill it.
Cha-An has a wide selection of teas and Japanese Desserts. So if you like Japanese Sweets and Teas. Go Check Out Cha-An.
